For mobile, I reckon you should start with prepaid first. The mobile plan that suits you best depends on the bunch of friends you'll be calling most.

Hey, if you're studying in Melbourne, we can try to arrange a small gathering before the semester starts. Drop me a PM with your contact #, location, and the days you're available..

A standard cab from Tullamarine to Southbank (23km) costs $55. Tullamarine to Clayton is double the distance, so I'd expect that you pay around $110, give or take some?
Added on June 15, 2007, 12:56 am QUOTE(chris_c28 @ Jun 13 2007, 02:59 PM) Obviously not. I'm just highlighting how students can misunderstand their roles as well as those of their academics at university. If the promised hours weren't delivered wholly, I think it's justifiable only if the subject matter has been sufficiently covered. However, if it isn't, then the students are getting shortchanged! The administration/teaching staff ought to take due diligence in ensuring that their students' academic needs are met, and while unforeseen circumstances do happen, they should be the exception not the norm. Perhaps that's what's going on at RMIT? Without having read the news article (where is it? I can't find it through Google News), I can only speculate.. |

QUOTE(zltan @ Oct 4 2007, 10:27 AM) I'm getting really sick of MAS. Stupid service and now all their flights are booked for the whole of December?!? From your previous post it appears that it's your first year here, thus your first time booking a flight back? Well, just so you know, it's peak peak peak season during in December, so next time, book early and beat the rush.Ahh and if you believe that it's any different with SIA; that you can get a flight back at your whim, well.. just try it and see |

QUOTE(zltan @ Oct 4 2007, 06:43 PM) Sigh. I gave you advice to book earlier in the future and cautioned you that it's not snap-easy to get a ticket during peak season, neither is it to get a refund for a partial ticket. If that isn't being helpful, what is?Look, I went through the same situation as you okay; I booked my flight late and the first available flight was past my ticket expiry. SIA told me that due to IATA regulations my partially-used ticket couldn't be refunded. I almost forfeited my ticket had it not been for a personal favor from a friend's mother's friend within SIA. |

QUOTE(young @ Jan 9 2008, 06:22 PM) want to ask whether PC over in Aus is cheaper than Malaysia? Computer stuff are generally cheaper in Malaysia. But you might find good deals on used computers in Aus.if malaysia is cheaper, i think i'll get a laptop here and bring over instead of getting a desktop over there |

QUOTE(pangping1510 @ Jan 23 2008, 06:06 PM) hi ppl..need help here..i went to study in aus last year, going back soon for second year..cuz i bought some stuff here..and i doubt my luggage+bags can accomodate all the stuff..so i am thinking of sending the leftovers through courier service..so anyone can enlighten me on what to do that? cuz i am worried that the stuff might get taxed cuz mostly are new..and which service should i go for? i would prefer the cheaper option..anyone can help me? I brought in a whole computer+monitor set last year from KL to Melbourne. 20kg = RM350 with DHL, and it arrived in 3 days. I guess I was pretty lucky as it didn't get held up by customs. |
