QUOTE(limeuu @ Sep 29 2007, 12:45 AM) duh..........if you want to enter oz unis, you will do oz year 12 programmes, which varies from state to state (cos education is state affair), and sam is based on sace...........duh....... Added on September 29, 2007, 12:54 amto what course? all oz state year 12 results are nationally collated, and assigned a score based on percentile ranking, called TER, ENTER, OP, UAI, depending on which states............. cutoff TER's for each uni, and each course are ALL on the net.............go google and research yourself, instead of expecing to be spoonfed............like typical bodohland students....... Soo bad!!

Limeuu is in the university of real life. But it doesn't matter where you go, spoon feeding does not exist in the real world. QUOTE(Godevil @ Sep 29 2007, 09:30 AM) Wanna ask, is Monash good (for engineering)? seem not much ppl studying there (in this thread)... Do U in Aussie require IELTs qualification? Personally, its a good idea to do IELTS before you go, even if you are twinning with some other instituation.

Yeah, even their prospectus says that. You really have to learn to be independent there. They dont teach much like you are in school or college. You pretty much have to learn everything on yourself. Heard Monash is decent but the best is still UNSW.There are few forumers here studying in UNSW.

They don't spoonfeed, they forkfeed. 1.When you take everything they give, they poke holes in your throat and if you don't repair the holes yourself, you end up failing exams. (AKA, you get confused with the information they give, so you have to do some research and asks questions) 2.When they feed you with a fork, some of the food fall off and you end up hungry and failing your exams. (AKA, the information they give is just basic, and you have to read further...and in lectures, a lecturer speaks a few thousands words...try remembering all that...lol) 3.Westerners use forks more than spoons.

Whatever it is,the level of education here is different from those in Malaysia period. Definitely no spoonfeeding, and they are those that follow thoroughly via protocol. Pro's and con's. Its the real world, back in Msia, its the Bolehland mentality.
I don't mind being forkfeed, at least they give you informations to begin with. My course is filled with lecturers that are genuine geeks, hence their absurd knowledge in programming, but when it comes to explaining it, they'll give you a ride around the eye of London.

Tell me about it. Especially when the programming language you're doing is Scheme. You end up with some pretty weird stuff. I still can't eat with a fork and knife through. Still need a spoon.

I only know Footscray market for the time being and going there is not a problem since it's near the train station. But I can still get Halal chicken right here in Geelong. For beef, quite difficult but still can get it at Geelong West. Nando's is Halal by the way. I got some friend's in Melbourne, so can hang out for a day taking a walk in the city or going to Laguna to buy some cooking stuff...

I can't be bothered cooking anymore. Last 2 months before the finals and going home. By the way, speaking of Geelong, they won the AFL. (I still can't get the rules :S)
