Do what I do, find a relative (in my case my parents) and offer to pay their utility bill every month. They pay you back in cash. Most people's bills are about the same amount every month so quite easy to plan.

In my case is I give them the rebate la, but you could also keep the rebate for yourself  brows.gif

Similar to me paying phone bills for family and in-laws.
Can increase the transaction from one time RM50 to average 3 or 4 times.

Econsave yes, only supermarkets that having departmental stores you must be very careful.
rm500 of balance you can choose groceries, buy 2KG Milo rm30-31 and sell it back to local coffee shops. If they don't shop in Tesco, Giant, AeonBig, the price they are getting is rm34. So you have some market there.
My spending on groceries every month only rm200 and petrol rm300 but yet I still able to hit rm1000 sharp. So basically rm500's groceries are for "selling".

Thank you for the suggestions!

QUOTE(cdspins @ Dec 5 2014, 09:29 AM)
If you want a credit card purely for petrol rebate and don't want the hassle to always keep track of the transaction, you can go for citibank cash back, but mind you it is only 5%

brows.gif  No free lunch in this world lo, you want more cash rebate... you got to "work" for it, plan your spenditure pattern and keep track of it.

Was using UOB when realized the capped amount is too low.

Can la, there is a way to get around it. Every day also can enjoy weekend 5% + 5x TP.

Hi,

I guess someone might ask this question before, but I need your advice on this because I just get the card recently.

1. For 10 transactions above RM50, is it calculated from 1st day of everything until 31th? Or it is based on the monthly billing date of credit card?

2. Can some one help me to confirm if below payment can be used / count as 10 transactions to claim the cash back?

1. Auto debit from Insurance monthly payment.
2. Auto debit from TNB, TM
3. Auto debit from U Mobile / MAXIS
4. Using HLB internet banking to pay bill > RM50.

Thanks for your advice.

1) yes, from 1st to 31st, not billing cycle
2)
1. insurance can help to attain 10x >rm50 but it's not under any categories, meaning that 0% rebate for insurance
2. i suggest you to use payonline for tnb and tm so that you can control to pay many times rm50 (for eg. bill rm250 can be paid with rm50 x 5 times)
3. i suggest you to use umobile or maxis website so that you can control to pay many times rm50 (for eg. bill rm250 can be paid with rm50 x 5 times)

Any payments above rm50 helps. But only payments under your chosen category qualify for 10% CB.

Read and understand the T&C stated, be it online or hard copies from branch.
1. Nope, cash back is counted based on transaction posting date and depends to your statement cut off date. So your cash back period are shorter if the statement date is end of the month.
2. Do not use auto debit, as if every transaction cost rm200, you may end up with 0 cash back or lower cash back.
Using this STUPID card is you spend rm1000 or lesser only, not more than that.
*
1. You are trying to mislead the forum again. Cash back period is based on calender month regardless of when the statement date is. As long as transactions posted in a calender month, it will qualify for cash back. The is no such thing as shorter cash back period.

2. This thread is not a kopitiam thread, inappropriate language is not appreciated. If you think this is a stupid card, just cancel the card and no need bother about this thread.

Your ignorance is not helping at all. Your attitude is not helping at all. Your response is also not helping at all! Its better you quit this card before you get a heart attack because your pissing off is not helping at all. Let the bona fide foremer make this thread a better place to discuss this card, will ya ?

Dear Bennedict82

1. For 10 transactions above RM50, is it calculated from 1st day of everything until 31th? Or it is based on the monthly billing date of credit card?
Transactions are base on posting date. Posting date usually 1 day late after the transact date.

2. Can some one help me to confirm if below payment can be used / count as 10 transactions to claim the cash back?

1. Auto debit from Insurance monthly payment.
You can use auto debit

2. Auto debit from TNB, TM
Im using PayOnline for paying all my bill, u can maximize all your swipe of transaction.

3. Auto debit from U Mobile / MAXIS
As per above.

4. Using HLB internet banking to pay bill > RM50.
As per above.

The list of available payee via Credit Card is pretty short for HLB online. Example, TNB doesn’t accept payment via CC on HLB online. Not even your mobile bills, Maxis, Digi and Celcom. If you pay for other things… then no rebate… then this card may not work in your favour in terms of effective % of cash rebate, not to mention the annual fee as well.

Might want to consider if you really want to put this card for auto debit items, in case you feel like cancelling a year later or something and then the hassle of cancelling your auto debit as well.

PS: unless you have already maxed out the benefit of say… your MBB2Card or others, then the points above may not apply so well. though I admit there’s always the amex problem.

No doubt that this card is going to be hated by those who got this card but could not benefit from it. To be honest, this card is not suitable for everyone who couldn't meet its terms and conditions.
