I remember i read something like if my transaction date is on 30th September and the posting date is on 1st October, the cash rebate will credited under month of September or month of October?

I believe it is under month of October?

Another thing is the swipe will be under month of September right?
*
Regardless of when you swipe the card, as along as the posting date is in October, it will be under October Cash Back quota of RM100 and to be credited on 28th Nov.

As a matter of fact yeah. Rm2000 bill a month Min for tnb.
*
I suppose you are paying for business/commercial electricity bill ?
As cybpsych suggested, pay the balance 1k with MBB2Amex during weekend for maximum gain.
In case you are a frequent flyer, using any mileage CC to pay can yield even better value then 10% CB when you redeem mileage point with air ticket especially long haul business class flight.

*
If you got your card oct last year, your AF will be billed 1st Nov 2014.

Got, but you got to search this thread. He threaten to cancel the card then HLB gave in and waived the AF. No harm trying though.

Wow, u considered what I said as protecting HLB and personal attacks to you.

Okay, I will remind myself not to give any unwanted views directly to u in future.

U have a good day bro.

Save your precious time and ignore him. Search his previous posts here and you will know why you should ignore him.

Your post#182 was indeed in accordance to standard banking practices and Bafia act. Nothing in your post was defending of HLB but your were conveniently labeled as one.
Seriously, when a person suggested to file a complain to BNM for a mere rejected credit card application, you know what kind of that person's mentality already. laugh.gif

There's been no change in that T&C, what are you talking about? Simply says cashback will be reflected in your statement as long the day it is due (fixed 27th) is before your statement date. If your statement date is 26th then it will appear in the next month.
*
Here we go again doh.gif I think he can't comprehend the TnC he highlighted in red.
There is nothing wrong with 3.(a) clause and I don't know why this can be an issue.
I suggest mod ban him from posting in this thread as he has again and again posted misleading comments to confused this thread especially new to card readers. He accused HLB cheating, calling Wise credit card a stupid card every time he failed to interpret the Wise card TnC.

hi sifus... just wanna check, how do we know of the MCC code for the merchant? bought iphone from maxis centre at lowyat plaza... not sure of the MCC code tho, dont wanna waste the rebate.. in my online statement, it is listed as:

MAXIS CENTRE-LOW YAT KUALA LUMPUR MY
*
Maxis centre should be OK.
But if let say you paid RM1k devise advance payment to Maxis in one single swipe, you still need 9 x >RM50 to qualify for CB. As a result, your cash back % effectively reduce to 6.8% only.
If you pay by MBB2Amex during weekend, you can yield about the same rebate as Wise card but you don't have to concern about MCC code and no need 9x >RM50 additional swipes.

just went to different branch and applied wise card, got a free gsc voucher.

btw, if take wise+gsc combo, the staff told me that gsc credit card inside got RM60 inside, and dont need to pay annual fee and gst for it.
cause its wise+gsc combo, even though 2 cards, its consider as 1 credit card only.
pay annual fee+ gst for wise is considered paying annual fee+gst for gsc card ady.

true?
*
Better check the black and white TnC from HLB website. Some like you said GSC is totally free card, some said free for 1st year only, some reported need to pay both AF and GST on renewal, some said pay GST only on renewal, so many versions. doh.gif

This is ridiculous, upgrade need approval but downgrade also need approval ?
*
It's not ridiculous at all. It's very normal.
The branch is not card dept. No authority on credit card matters. Therefore they need to submit the downgrade application to card dept for approval.
Same goes to the card dept has no authority to approve say down grade of your priority banking account to normal banking account.

Two don'ts when applying wise card.
1) don't take the GSC card. Reasons given in post#421 and 422
2) don't choose the Dinning category. Reason being plenty of other cards give better discount then 10% cash back for dinning. Another reason is you are not sure about the cash back entitlement for all makan places.

It's not a spam, it was a legitimate question in this topic as to why he repetitively calling the subject topic as stupid card. Perhaps he has some misunderstandings about this card and he can discuss about it in this thread.

he already has valid issues with this card and been lenghty debated.

feel free to report the specific posts if it warrant mods/staffs to intervene (nature of words used, although name calling wasnt directed to forumers here but to the card itself  sweat.gif )
*
Yes, all his issues was debated and it was over. But the name calling to the card keep coming repetitively after the debate. Unless he has new issue with the card otherwise I don't think such behavior is appropriate in Finance, Business, Investment House forum.
As for the report button, It is only fair to give supersound a chance to explain his action before reporting.

How can it be stupid when today i got extra RM200 ? It gotta be wise. Enjoy your cashback smile.gif

Enjoy while still can. We do not know when this 10% CB will last when the revision of interchange fees to 1% for credit and debit cards takes effect Jan 2, 2015.

QUOTE
The interchange fee is a fee paid by card acquirers to card issuers to cover the costs incurred in facilitating the transaction, and includes cost of authorisation, clearing and settlement, security measures and funding. Interchange fees form a significant proportion of the MDRs paid by merchant to acquirer.

QUOTE
“The range of impact is wide as it depends on the card portfolio of the bank. Some banks could see as high as a RM100 million squeeze on margins while others may see just a couple of hundred thousand ringgit impact,” says a consultant to banks, adding that those affected may likely reduce some of their loyalty programmes to cushion the impact

Actually, RM500 (RM50 x 10) is the minimum threshold to qualify for 10 CB, no need to spend more than necessary to max the RM100 cash back cap every month.

Thank you for your advice.

But I don't really pay much for dining as well. Spending for dining is not fixed.

Kinda difficult for me to make the 2nd choice of category actually. laugh.gif

Currently using MBB 2 cards, but I could not claim petrol on weekends. That's why need to look for another card with CB.
*
Can la, there is a way to get around it. Every day also can enjoy weekend 5% + 5x TP.

how much is the petrol card cost? and do they charge any fee for reload?
*
I think it is free.
I got mine free from Wise card contest. RM50 x 2 cards.
I used it after CB maxed out.
The petronas staff told me the card is reusable by credit reload but I never reload before because My regular petrol station is Petron and Petron posting date is fast.
