I hate windows 8 too. but when I tried win8.1, i feel not bad with it.

and overall performance/smoothness is way better than win7. (I hate the metro style of win8/8.1 too, haha)

the only disappointed, some win7 software not able to run in win8 sad.gif

now I'm waiting for win10 consumer preview... hehe

now there are two types of windows users
one prefer the windows 7 and another one prefer windows 8
Microsoft's windows 10 is about all in one, all platform with one OS and that include the mix of windows 8 & 7 user experience on windows 10
I like Windows 8 live tiles and also windows 7 start menu etc
after using win10 tp, im very sure the final product can fit both windows 8 & 7 users. furthermore got free upgrade rclxms.gif

I've got my synaptics and realtek HD audio driver update stuck at 34%. Any ideas how to resolve it without a clean install?

My google skill not good enough. Cannot find any answers.

maybe. it's just personal preference. just take your own sweet time to adapt, if you want. if you don't wanna do that, you can still use your preferred os for quite some time (measured in years).

Had that on previous version. That bug supposed to be fixed with update KB3035129.

sure smile.gif linux is a great os. it can turn into anything, depending on hardware. for casual use as an end user (e.g. web browsing, email, entertainments, etc.), i actually prefer linux to windows. for my machines, everything just work.

if it's for gaming and work (at work space), windows is still a better option.

While trying to update from 10074 to 10122. Apparently quite a few people got the same error.

oh. yeah i think there are still problems during upgrades. there was nothing like that if it's a fresh install.

to me this is a more stable build than the previous versions. all drivers are working fine. for aw18, some were not installed properly (due to incompatible os version), but using manual method they still installed fine.

thanks a lot!

although they are still bugs here and there, it's getting stable now (build 10122, 10125).

edit: due to some unknown reasons, the start menu cannot start haha (build 10125). i have tested to run bf4 on this. everything is great with no hiccups.

i am running build 10125 now. it's quite buggy. so far there is no news about start menu fix. i have tried the old tricks but they didn't work. (powershell and start menu removal)

there is a rumor saying that rtm will be available in july or august this year.

yes build 10122 is more stable imo. in 10125, the more obvious one is the new icon set, and the bug: when you click on system, it always create 2 instances of the system window.
