I find v10041 in need of several improvements still.

zellleonhart, check out the very first point in the bug list link posted by stasio. sounded familiar? i think i didn't get this because i used the x64 version of desktop apps.

This 10061 build is buggy. It's better to run as vm fresh install only. (e.g. Settings can disappear in the middle of windows updates haha)

To cut the installation short, always do it offline.

Running Build 10061 now,no problem with upgrade.....

wahlao.. I am just using 10061 today and you are already looking at 10074!!!

Spartan is somewhere in there.. I use Cortana to search for it! I didnt recall doing anything on it earlier, just hilang from the taskbar after upgrade.

Uh oh~

- install via SSD/HHD trick (I ran out of DVD, last one left ), caused my W7 boot option gone...
- finish install W10, 7 minutes or so via SSD partition - BIIIIIIIIIIING~~~~!! explorer error greet me lmao~!
- often explorer crash
- windows don't recognize my R9 280x despite latest driver... gonna try again.

No i have good net so it's faster to grab stuff. 10074 build has duplicates in settings haha! Later i show it here lol!

Oh that's terrible :/ It looks like nvidia has better supports. Btw for testing it's better to use vm.

Omega driver somehow didn't work, had to use older Catalyst 14.4 and it's fine now.

This time around I actually think about migrating to W10 as daily usage - get familiar with some new interface and stuff. Previously I only took some short peak.
The interface seems much sleek this time, they do some scale adjustments I guess. But that explorer error at the "HI" screen kinda killed some of my brain cell...
Try to sort things out later, hopefully tomorrow is a smooth ride.

Btw, did the Change the EnableBlurBehind trick actually works? (enable transparency on explorers) Didn't work for me though.
Nvm stupid me. It actually enable blur for the start menu only, for now.

I have rolled back to Windows 8.1 haha, my main laptop has to be stable. The speed of 8.1 is definitely faster than the preview as of now haha (especially noticeable in bootspeed).

Hopefully more to come for Windows 10!

here's the obvious bug. it's just cosmetic, and has nothing to do with performance impacts hehe



btw the final name for the new web browser (formerly project spartan) is called edge.

in the 10074 build more ui integrations are in place. as it's getting closer to rtm, it's called insider preview now.
