the w10 key that you pulled out with that vbs script is a generic product key. with the w10 upgrade offer, ms server retrieved and stored the unique hardware id of your device online, so that the next time you do a clean install, you don't need to key in product key. (just skip them) after installation is completed, activate it online. that's all.

Even if you are prompted by a product key - you can always click 'skip this step' to get past the prompt. icon_idea.gif

- profile picture will turn into green
- forum command button will turn into black

my quick fix : close the current window , and open new window ( but it will happen again sometimes )

auto shutdown will be my forever problem , the screen already off but the power button still light up , then ive to force shutdown

no such issues here. i did clean installs also (wipe os disk to get rid of everything with diskpart, then install a fresh copy of os)

maybe you can do a sfc /scannow and see if there are issues detected or fixed?

Hi all, been having this issue ever since I installed Windows 10. It just keeps flashing between this and black screen endlessly, have to force shut down and pray the next startup runs normally. This issue occurs mainly when windows is updating. Hence, I searched for solutions of similar problems and apparently by turning off some microsoft startup services (through msconfig) such as Problem Reports and Solutions Control Panel Support
Windows Error Reporting Service works for the majority but problem still persists for myself. Any suggestion pls? Thx

You need to upgrade to Win 10 from Win 7 first then only can clean install Win 10 next time.

Win 7 key cannot be directly used on Win 10.

Now im tempted to go back to 8.1 or 7. Startup super slow, cant connect to any wifi. Yes, i have updated all of my driver from dell website (inspiron 7447).

Weird thing is, everything is ok on my desktop. Driver via windows update only.
