this might be related to how your home network was set up. maybe you should check that out first.
no issue here. all patches were installed properly.
sorry bro i have no idea. i don't use cortana.
there is a potential issue with nvidia drivers which were report to brick certain samsung and lg display panels in laptops. the identified display panels are used in alienware.
https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=75958864

(i think this was why owners with nvidia gpus cannot pass w10 upgrade validation)

oh ok. yes, it's better to be patient. it's not a joke when something delivered officially can brick your hardware. it might impact warranty also.

I think you can check/ask this at networks and broadband section. I assume by unifi modem you mean the stock wifi router, not the btu. (You don't need access to btu anyway to run your home network)

Previously I just asked the techs about access when they installed unifi service at my place.

anyways, i've downgraded back to 8.1 (its not 8).

The reason?

too many privacy related issues. Sorry, but i'm not sorry, and i'm so angry to the point that the moment some stranger was talking how awesome win 10 was, i literally put up the middle finger to the guy and said 'f your privacy, and f you'.

Then now I just found out that in the windows 7 and windows 8 updates, they are also installing these telemetry updates and all those stuffs that will spy on you like what windows 10 does.

Now its a headache trying to figure which update is which and uninstalling them all (on windows 8.1)

Until they really fix the OS, or until its proven that its secure and not privacy-intrusive, I refuse to be a product of Windows and sell off data without my permission (yes, data is also sent despite 'opting-out'.)

about that privacy thing, the truth is that it's been around for a long time, and it's everywhere. if you looked at os providers for mobile devices, web browsers, apps, etc., you might realize they have done it for so long. how many of us are putting efforts to control those devices/apps?

that being said, to me, w10 is still awesome in certain areas. all except for this part. i have changed my computing habits because of these 'new features' hehe

if you wanna have less of these things (relatively speaking), use linux.

Useful info to share to you all

For driver update, use the program below to make things easy

http://www.drivethelife.com/free-drivers-d...ad-utility.html

But, remember

"Unless a driver is causing problems it isn't usually a good idea to mess with them. If you can't do it without a program than you shouldn't do it. Besides Windows Update is starting to handle it for you."

It just a alternative way, for safety way, install and update the driver, than uninstall the software to avoid any spyware the may exist

type about:preferences in address bar of your ff and it will show you the options tab. uncheck 'enable multi-process' option under general > startup. you should be looking right at it when you open up the options tab.
