I believe you need to first ugprade via Win8. Once completed, retrieve the activated Win10 key and then you can proceed to do clean install using the same Win10 key.

you can use disk cleanup to do this.

Yup, i beleive so, but upgrade via Win 8 is very problematic
Failed to do so from yesterday..

I am assuming that you want to do clean install.
Perhaps, you could refresh your Win8 (back to default) and then proceed with the upgrade.
And once completed, retrieve the key and reinstall.

Disclaimer: I never attempted this, but theoretically should work.

2. try install using usb.
3. It asked for Product Key that cant be skipped ..

I used the media installer

yeah,but your previous windows is pre-installed or physical disc?

No, i click Create Installation Media and download Iso
I tried click Upgrade This PC Now, but not working, so that i download the ISO files

pre-installed 8.1

Do I need to update optional Win 8.1 updates as well?

I tried disk cleanup but didn't clean up that part. windows.old is gone but C:\$Windows.~WS still there..
