Hi Sifu, I'm a newbie here. How do I invest in gold? It seems like the price will keep increasing due to factors like chips, etc. I've been trying to figure out how to invest, but I feel that Touch 'n Go e-MAS seems quite expensive. Should I just buy physical gold instead of e-gold? Thanks in advance  flex.gif  notworthy.gif

somebody just asked, a couple of responses, read this page from the start.

can ask specific question then, if any.

There are many legit platforms to buy gold.

But first u need to decide whether u want physical or are u ok with paper/digital.

Physical means u want to be able to touch the gold, keep.it in your house. The main advantage is of course the gold is with you amd not in anyone elses hands.

Or if you just want to profit from price upside but dont really need to have it physically. Its more convinient and there alre also many legit ways.

if it ever happens, it will be post audit.

it isn't entirely clear if a revaluation will need congressional approval or just an exec order from potus.

whatever, from all the stuff i hv watched n read, most say good chance it will be revalued to current market value.

that wud push gold price even higher over time while $ will weaken, inflation goes super.

dropping gold std 1971 and revaluation of gold 1974 saw continuous hefty gold price rise during that period.

what happens to other currencies will be most interesting.

many countries, BRICS in particular, have been buying and repatriating their gold back to their own country.

while many doubt USA actually has the 8133 tons of gold, just as many think China has at least twice the reported of 2280 tons.

we may be witnessing some extraordinary global financial restructuring in the making.

let's hv some fun watching it unfold bit by bit! tongue.gif

there's is no official news on the audit and/or revaluation, only speculation.

the last i read, there is speculation audit will be done in time for a revaluation just before the end of the year.

if and when that happens, there'll be a lot of excitement looking at 1980.
https://www.kitco.com/news/article/2025-03-...-party-its-1980

1971 nixon abandoned gold standard.
1972 gold reserves valued at $38/oz.
1973 gold reserves revalued to $42.22/oz.
1980 gold spot price >$700/oz.

with interest rate cuts happening everywhere incl USA, US massive debt problems, war still lingering in europe, central banks continuous buying, it's reasonable to expect gold price in $ to keep rising in the immediate future. now that 3005 has been reached as new record high, most analysts see $3500 as 2025 target.

gold isn't cepat kaya; i'll be patient, v patient. tongue.gif

Hi,

I smell something brewing, scott bessett is well known guy in investment banking/hedge funds.

GOP is doing everything possible in their imagination. 🔬🔮🪤👁.... "for God, King & Country" ... (ahem and themselves)...

All the gold bull are speculating narratives.... but trump has 1 message for de-dollarisation. 🫣.

Nobody expected trump couple to enrich themselves via crypto/meme assets 😂🤯😂.... even i loaded up on trump media 😂😂😂. Trump is unpreditable to a certain extent 😶‍🌫️.

China has stopped buying gold for several months but re-started again recently.

I have started to open a position in GOLD since 2024 as our ringgit keep sliding down 😒😒😒 till Sept 2024... more for local factors. Never owned Gold before. Just watch how ringgit move vs USD in Sept 2024, then you will see 👁...

this one shows price at RM463/g.

just for reference, right now, 999.9 gold:

spot gold $3002/oz or RM429/g
https://tradingeconomics.com/commodity/gold

UOB e-gold selling RM431/g
https://www.uob.com.my/online-rates/gold-prices.page

gold bullion seller RM433/g
https://mybulliontrade.com/product-category.../buy-gold-bars/

gold jewelry shops selling RM490/g
https://etomei.com/pages/tomei-gold-silver-price-live-quotes
https://www.skjewellery.com.my/gold-price

while paper gold is around RM430/g, physical gold is fast approaching RM500/g.

it was RM300/g two years ago; about RM350 a year ago.

buying 999 gold as gifts for weddings, baby births & other joyous occasions is becoming an expensive affair!

Hi all,

I have been reading... metal investments are typically gold vs silver.

Anyone here got investment in copper? Somebody told me that copper will be the metal of the future due to EV paradigmn shift.

Any comments?

Gold and silver are precious metals. Also platinum and paladium.

Copper, aluminium are base metals. My go to instrument for these will be Invesco DBB etf which is 1/3 copper, 1/3 aluminium and 1/3 zinc. Atm I dont hold any tho.

before the fed releases their decision & comments at 9.30pm, u may wanna watch this short video.

https://www.dailyforex.com/forex-technical-...rch-2025/225827

Now that we have exploded above the $3,000 level, you would have to assume that the $3,000 level should now have enough market memory in it so that it could be your short-term floor. Regardless, this is obviously a market that cannot be shorted anytime soon. And with all of the geopolitical risks out there, the trade war concerns, and debt problems. It does look like gold will continue to be a winner.

last record high is $3045. 3100, 3300...? biggrin.gif
