In this case, you need to call Astro IPTV department 03-95431543 and tell them about it. Cuz this is consider as case to case technical issue, not general technical issue.

If serious case, your decoder will be replaced to new one, and your existing recordings will be gone.

it such a long time there is no update for the decoder , or i missed something here

PVR one gets the new firmware dated last 4th May.

Put your decoder into standby mode and it will initiate software update automatically if found new update.

OK, so there isn't a way to transfer all data to the new decorder if replaced. There no options such as cloning hdd?

Yes. Astro Arena HD is for all Astro customers and Astro SuperSport 4 HD is for Astro customers who subscribe to Sports Pack and HD Service.

The addition of the eGG, Astro Arena HD, Astro Supersport 4 HD & BeIN Sports is a welcome move as the price increase is accompanied with channel addition but I hope Fox Sports 2 & 3 will have HD version just like Arena & Supersport 4.

Will see which company will apply for satellite TV license after February 2017 when Astro's exclusive license end. Meanwhile MYTV seems like a failed venture even before official rollout:

There is no company will apply for satellite TV license after February 2017 and then Astro will have new satellite TV license in February 2017.

Even if no monopoly, Ass-throw WILL continue to have Satellite TV license after February 2017... NOT new license, its just RENEW of license. The only difference is that OTHER companies can apply and get the license If they satisfy the government guidelines for such broadcast TVs.

When such license is opened for other companies to apply, I suspect there won't be any existing companies that is/are capable to handle such broadcast due to various reasons which include the huge financing needed and proper infrastructure required. Only time will show whether ANY company is willing or capable to take it up. In my opinion, it may probably take many years for such competitors to launch broadcast.

You may be right to say "no company will apply" BUT this is only your opinion and NOT 100% FACT because all of us just cannot guess what will happen in the future. Who knows ? Maybe one is strong enough to apply after 10 years? Many times you like to say things as though you are so sure to confirm it BUT the future is a long time that nobody can confirm anything yet.

Whether got monopoly or not, Ass-throw will continue to renew license and continue to exist.

IF, I say IF, our government do stop monopoly, then we shall see whether ANY companies apply for such Satellite/Cable Broadcasting license.

Even if Satellite TV competitors come, MEASAT/Ass-throw "companies" will actually make even more money because I believe such competitors will still require the services of the orbiting satellite provided by MEASAT and its entities. Only my opinion.

At the present moment in time, it does not sound good. MYTV seems like "talk only" and ABNXcess is a failure. However, we can never confirm anything yet even though it seems very likely that no company is interested to venture into this.

Yes, you do read a lot of stuff from Ass-throw website and other sites. Appreciated your help.

You have previously stated that you are an NJOI viewer with "free" channels. One of the channels that NJOI viewers cannot watch for FREE is the Arena Channel 801... SO... Arena HD is STILL NOT available to you for free and you have to pay to watch it when it is launched later.

Since you are an NJOI viewer, what is actually important for you is whether Ass-throw will or will not launch any additional new "free" channels for NJOI which I think may not happen for you in the near future. I believe very unlikely to happen, unfortunately.

Whether Ass-throw does this or does that, launch this or that, or even terminated any channels that are for Paid Subscribers actually do NOT affect you in any way. What I still do not understand is from your previous posts requesting for this and that channels to be launched when we know that ALL of those channels can never be launched free in NJOI. Even if launched into whatever Packs such as Jade Pack or whatever name packs, you should know that its just not "NJOI free". It will only affect you IF you decide to pay. Its just like a person who hated eating durians shouting at other people who love to eat durians to buy more durians and start requesting that durians to be allowed to be carried into the airplane! Of course you can express yourself. You can still continue to say this and that about "Paid channels", its perfectly okay. What is confusing me here is why did you request for new channels when you are just an NJOI viewer. Do you really expect such new channels to be launched "Free" into NJOI? Are you dreaming? I don't know.

What is even more confusing is when you even DARE to confirm that "after LAUNCHING" Astro Xiao Tai Yang HD HAS STARTED showing these programs... "* Ultraseven X, * Ultraman Ginga, * Ultraman Ginga S... blah, blah blah" when ONLY Xiao Tai Yang Channel 325 in SD exist, NO HD channel exist yet so how come those programs can be shown in an "invisible" channel? Where did you get the information that Xiao Tai Yang HD will be launched in MID-2016? Today is already 25th June 2016... mid 2016 so please tell me how you got such info or did you actually guessed it?

There are times that you do seem to know more and even stated correctly and its true BUT for many other times, its just wild guesses which you did NOT even bother to show just how did you get such information. The funny part is when you requested for new channels to be launched which you do not intend to pay to watch... that, my friend... is confusing to me and probably to many others here.

Just remember about the story of the boy who cried wolf... the boy screamed for help and lied about a wolf attacking him, and he did this so many times that... one day in the future, a wolf actually attacked him but no one came to help him any more. Once that credibility is gone... people may not believe you even if you are talking the truth for once.
