Hi, new 4MB user just by today, is my connection looks fine?
Able to stream 1080p youtube smoothly. But the 0.4MB upload speed is a pain in the ass .....

oh well, stuck with offline storage then... with high upload, sometime is good to use Cloud storage for up and down

Torrent capped at 64k, but some said it can be used with VPN or any direct download service. Since I'm not in torrenting, so it does not matter to me.

my goal is to make sure my smart home monitoring / cctv working flawlessly with better upload speed. It hard to work at 512k smile.gif

Hey guys, I received a phone call claiming that all Streamyx packages will be cancelled in stages starting July onwards. My options are:
1. Upgrade to Unifi, RM179 before July. After July it will be RM199.
2. Do nothing, let the Streamyx get cancelled

Just wondering if anyone else out there got a similar call like this?
The number that called was 03 9212 7541

Yes, you can. First perform a reset on ur modem B, configure SSID on ur modem B before connecting LAN to modem A. Then disable DHCP in modem B and go to WAN page and set the ip pointing to ur modem A, connect LAN from A to any LAN port in B. Lastly save and restart rclxm9.gif
*
Ok, understand already for disable DHCP.

But at WAN page, how to set ip pointing to modem A?
As I acccess to modem B setting, there are few options to choose as below:-

a) PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE)
b) IP over Ethernet
c) Bridging

Which one I choose? I just only know confirm not A options due to that one direct connect streamyx. (This one only applicable for my modem A)

If they straight away cancel the Streamyx without further notice, then wait the call center boomm... shakehead.gif
Take note some area still did not have unifi coverage.. mad.gif

If possible, lower down the Unifi package until RM129/mth or below RM120 (without free call landline), then we might be consideration.
Otherwise, give us price less than RM100 for streamyx..

Kinda stupid this type of ppl talking non-sense... cool2.gif

Ah, dont trust that phone call. It is a scam.
I contacted my sources brows.gif and apparently, TM received reports on some unscrupulous MAXIS/TM agents trying to TRICK users into cancelling their Streamyx and subscribe Unifi instead. More subscription = more $$ for them.

I googled the number and it seems that the caller indeed was an agent for Maxis. And probably Unifi too.
If I chose either, they still get $

I guess I will do nothing and continue with my Streamyx (which probably isn't getting shut down anytime soon)

Damm scammers

If your village is covered under HSBB2 and SUBB projects (before 2019, in phases), it is very likely you and your neighbours will eventually go for IP-based Unifi. If TM do not install fibre port at your house, TM will offer you Unifi Lite 10M VDSL2 to replace ADSL (Streamyx), you just need to change your modem (VDSL2)! ADSL technology is outdated.

Sorry, iinm u don't need to change anything in WAN page, make sure u have DHCP enabled in modem A. All u have to configure is in LAN page, just assign a IP pointing to modem A IP range (eg: 192.168.1.10) after u disabled DHCP in modem B, then connect the input LAN to one of the LAN port.

Frankly speaking, you should consider migrating to Unifi (either FTTH or VDSL2). It is just a matter of time TM may stop ADSL (Streamyx) service to your area.
