I just called 100 & according to TM, the promo is no longer available. Damn frustrated

4mbps RM88 package had never been offered to urban areas, only for low-income group at sub-urban/kampung areas. I think you can get it at RM130+GST now for 4mbps. You may also try Unifi Lite 10mbps at RM129/RM149+GST, or Digi Broadband RM30/RM60/RM100+GST.

seriously?? i think they just call u to scared..my village still dont have unifi..how come they wanna cancelled it

If your village is covered under HSBB2 and SUBB projects (before 2019, in phases), it is very likely you and your neighbours will eventually go for IP-based Unifi. If TM do not install fibre port at your house, TM will offer you Unifi Lite 10M VDSL2 to replace ADSL (Streamyx), you just need to change your modem (VDSL2)! ADSL technology is outdated.

Hey guys, I received a phone call claiming that all Streamyx packages will be cancelled in stages starting July onwards. My options are:
1. Upgrade to Unifi, RM179 before July. After July it will be RM199.
2. Do nothing, let the Streamyx get cancelled

Just wondering if anyone else out there got a similar call like this?
The number that called was 03 9212 7541
*
Frankly speaking, you should consider migrating to Unifi (either FTTH or VDSL2). It is just a matter of time TM may stop ADSL (Streamyx) service to your area.

It may happen in 2018-2019. But you may get regretted if all of the ports are occupied!

need 4mbps @ RM 88 account PM me. Transfer ownership @ TM Point Malacca

Don't think so. The package was created for specified locations (not for urban) and for low-income household only.

Unifi lite is 10MB right?

Been using 4MB for some years while waiting for unifi coverage. Until now nothing, even Lite also don't have. Finally decide to take 8MB package, currently have promo RM140. So I'm paying additional RM11 for lesser 2MB. The discount RM20 is until 30th June, after that new registration go back to normal price of RM160.

When it's about home broadband, everyone is a beggar that have no choice..

You don't need Unifi infra (FTTH) to get Unifi Lite. You will migrate from ADSL2 (Streamyx) to VDSL2 (Unifi Lite 10/20) soon if your area is under HSBB2/SUBB. You enjoy free calls to TM numbers and HyppTV box, which Unifi Lite RM129 users don't.

UniFi Lite is 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload. Since u already taken the discounted 8Mbps package just wait until contract ends, hopefully ur area has UniFi coverage by the time icon_idea.gif
*
Still can upgrade to Unifi Lite at RM149 without paying penalty.

can streamyx 4mb or 8mb remove the free calls to land line to get cheaper monthly rate like the unifi lite?
*
Different things. Don't confuse.
Streamyx: Free calls to TM fixed line numbers only.
Unifi STD20 (RM20): Free 600 minutes calls to any local numbers including mobile numbers from Celcom, Maxis, Digi etc, and fixed line numbers from TM, Maxis, Time etc.
ie. streamyx customers are not enjoying free calls to non-TM numbers.

It is already letting us down...

One national Fiberisation project already taken up near to a decade yet it stilll does not cover most of the population.

When we compare to singapore, they would say singapore is small that is why it's easier, but when we compare to Thailand, they flip the Prata again and say we are focusing on coverage and not speed.  vmad.gif

TM have done well in building up >2mil FTTH ports till today. (more than Singapore's)
They should have learned from UK/Australia, implement VDSL instead of FTTH for faster nationwide coverage, but the desired speed will be ~20Mbps (good for general use), instead of 100Mbps/1Gbps (which is not useful for majority at this moment).

Can existing customer with no contract subscribe to this plan and retaining my old phone no?
*
Terminate your streamyx service but keep your line at RM25/month.
Get a new streamyx line with new numbers, with new installation and new modem.

What is this change number thing?
*
Downgrade existing streamyx to telephone RM25 to keep old number.
Apply for new tel + streamyx.
Then cancel the old number and get the new number changed to old number.
