My streamyx speed now is 2mbps. When I asked TM to upgrade my speed to 4mbps, they said it might take up to 11 working days. Is it the case? I thought the upgrade can be done instantly, no?

At Putra Heights here. Last time upgraded to 4Mbps when they called me to offer upgrade. I said yes and it was only about 2-3 days until tech came with new Wireless ADSL 2+ Modem/Router. It was good for 1 day and after that restarted itself after WLAN initiated doh.gif . Didn't care much though as i got my own equipment. Just want the speed upgrade.

Hi bro,

Got some question regarding streamyx. Does anyone has problem with Netflix streaming after restarting the modem?🤔🤔

Somehow, i cannot stream netflix after I restart the modem. Everything other than that (like youtube, etc) has no problem. Anyone can help me?

Last month I had an internet connection problem. TM sent a technician to
my house to check. For some unknown reason, my modem can't get a
connection, even my other modem with is brand new, too can't get a
connection. And there's nothing wrong with my phone line so the technician
uses a modem he brought along. To my surprise, his modem works. So, to
save myself all the troubles of going out to buy a new modem, I decided to
buy his modem. Now the problem is, TM charge me RM10 for a service fee
for wiring. This is ridicules as the technician didn't do any rewiring, he just
replaced my modem with his which I have no problem doing myself. Has
anyone here been charge this kind of fee by TM?

I'm experiencing problem with my 4MB Streamyx - the internet will just disconnect suddenly, but the DSL, Wireless & Internet light on the router is still there (not turning off like the usual disconnection)

and the network icon on my PC's dekstop tray is accompanied by an exclamation mark, meaning no internet connection

the only way to have the connection back is to turn off & on the router, not even pulling the phone wire off the router will reset the connection

called TM, technician came to check, they said my phone line shared phone & internet connection so need to re-wire. Yeah, I've been using Streamyx for over 8 years without problem like this, but now it needs re-wiring?

Somehow I suspect this is the router/modem's fault. Opinion guys?

Modem/ router which has more than 3 years must be changed once. Of course, it may be your phone line problem. Most of the people change their phone line in their house when it is more than 20 years.

I can confirm it's not the phone line because when the disconnection occurs, the phone line is still intact

so router it is then?

did you check your modem/phone splitter? That could be an issue as well.

Sometimes, when my line is bad, I reset at the main incoming junction box (back of your house probably?) just unplug (unscrew) the incoming wire and reattach back
