I think speed capped to prevent data loss / disconnection. Mine 4Mbps max only 3.6Mbps because 3.5km from nearest dist. point.

The other day i went TM, they say flat i living in only up to 4Mbps. Can't go higher than that.

The odd thing is, sometimes, during start of download (steam/origin) the speed can up to 1MBps. Slowly down to 430KBps. The last time i called TM technician in for ADSL carrier issue, he reset the port and change downstream to 5120Mbps. That time. i enjoyed max speed 4Mbps++ for months, no issue. Now only 3.6Mbps, capped. When make inquiry, they standard answer me 80% from max speed is okay.

How is it okay being capped at 80% max speed? Nowadays, really feel been taken advantaged of by TM. But i have no other better choice. My flat there no other better BB service, even though it being surrounded by HSBB

So i guess TM will only commit 80% of advertised "effort" because it seems to be they can do better for me. Intermittent 80% effort can consider best effort. All the time is 80% of advertised effort = ?

But i still sayang TM due to minimal downtime and stable (at best effort) connection. Not to mention no data quota

At Putra Heights here. Last time upgraded to 4Mbps when they called me to offer upgrade. I said yes and it was only about 2-3 days until tech came with new Wireless ADSL 2+ Modem/Router. It was good for 1 day and after that restarted itself after WLAN initiated . Didn't care much though as i got my own equipment. Just want the speed upgrade.

I tested and it worked. Although, it didn't work if i log in to my expired account

I agree with above. They only commit "best effort" at 80% of advertised speed, which is their SLA.

"4Mbps package, downstream need 5120kbps. Else u stuck with 3.xMbps++," said one of TM contractor who came to service my line several years back. He helped me activate 5120kbps DS so i enjoyed full 4mbps for about a year or so until another line issue. Called TM, they fixed but set only 4096mbps DS. As a result me only get 3.7mbps max until now

No matter how many times i test speed, no matter what time and what day, I only get 3.7mbps max.

p/s: at times, i dunno maybe their "fair usage policy" system down or what, my Steam download can get up to 7.8mbps for few seconds and then slowly back to 430kbps-ish

Today I submit my request for the 3rd time. Hopefully they will layan me this time.

What's this? Does it include the free landline call and line sewa RM26? If yes, how about if i terminate my current package and then opt for this one instead, can do lik that ?
