May I ask how do apply for the 3.87% FD?

Can I do it over Maybank2u online or have to go to the branch myself?

What do I need to do?

At the moment I have FD in both CIMB and MBB but the rates is nowhere near 3.87%

What is the min amount to deposit?
1. the 3.87%, as per the previous posts (just scroll up) may have ended.

2. you need to go to any mbb branches to enquire if it's still available.

3. min is dependent on the branches (between rm25k - 50k).

4. why don't you scroll up & a few pages back or go to the 1st page, post #2 where sifu BCC is kind enuf to summarise =

"May Bank, valid until 31 October - (New added by bbgoat on 3 Oct & updated by bbgoat & haur on 7 Oct)
3.87% for 3 months
First 2 mths 3.7% and 3rd mth 4.2%, average 3.87%
Minimum FD deposit fresh fund RM 25K or RM 50K?
*Fresh fund must be from RHB, CIMB & MBSB..?"

you dun hv to post twice if u do your own "handwork"; even the sifus dun wanna reply your post.

luckily for you, this small fart took pity on you by replying lah... smile.gif

If BR can match KFH 4.09% for 1 year, then I will probably go for BR because KFH monthly interest will credit
to KFH saving account, if we want to do online banking (IBG), then I guess we need to pay RM 8.00 annually
for the KFH ATM card.

*
BR 12 mth 4.1%.

KFH has changed so that the debit card they give out do NOT have annual fees. Last year they told me charges like >RM10 per year. This year they said changed. Note they are not exactly like a bank, though I do not know the actual diff between KFH and other M'sian banks. smile.gif

Thanks Giko for teaching the small uninitiated like me, i did read through the whole thread, maybe due to my poor reading comprehension, I failed to capture the info from it.

Hence asking questions here.

I will enquiry from the nearest MBB branch on Monday. I am unable to ask earlier is due to i just bump into this thread and found out this offer last night.

I asked yesterday about the minimum, the answer I got is RM 25k. So, diff MBB branch seems to be quoting different minimum sum for the promo. But they did say it will stop when target met.

Last week the 4% upfront FD stopped the day I went in. Initially said several days after the day I went in. Then in the afternoon, one MBB lady called me (she met me while placing the FD) said ended that day.  sad.gif

So looks like after I posted on the MBB 3.87% yesterday morning, later in the day, Friday, the promo ended due to target met ?

That promo seems to be kept among few customers so not many MBB customer know about it, unless you asked. smile.gif

But not sure why some of the branches say never have that promo. I saw a RHB Bank branch manager yesterday and he said MBB should not have put in the terms to attract away the 3 banks customers. He even used the term unethical. So MBB may be trying to defuse all the fuss ? hmm.gif

4.09% interest is for 13months not converted to effective rate per annum yet. Should be about 3.78%. 26month fd should be 4.15%/pa.

the manager is right. Mbb should not do this kind of thing. That's why, the quietly they "close" the promo by telling everyone promo have meet target. if BNM get to know about this promo & it's unethical TnC, mbb would be in big trouble nod.gif

looks good - thanks for heads up nomen  rclxms.gif btw, do you know if they adjust maturity date for public holidays like BR does?
*
Through my previous experience and FD placements with UOB they had never made any adjustments on maturity dates but
need not worry about it because they send out quarterly statements to you so that you can keep track on all the FD placements
with them.
