from what i monitor... CIMB reduces their monthly rate by 0.1%, but then again, other banks were offering at 3.15% and CIMB offered 3.25%...so not surprised that CIMB lower the rates...

QUOTE(kimmo88 @ Oct 19 2014, 11:30 PM) Just saw the note below on UOB online banking FD page. Looks like no uplifting online if FD done in branch. Note : Fixed Deposit withdrawal via UOB Personal Internet Banking is only applicable for Fixed Deposit placed via electronic banking channels, i.e UOB Personal Internet Banking, UOB 121 Phone Banking and UOB ATM. QUOTE(Gen-X @ Oct 19 2014, 11:35 PM) So far my experience is CIMB can place online and withdraw/terminate online. CB & PBB can place FD online but cannot terminate online.Good and bad points. Edited to remove MBB. This post has been edited by bbgoat: Oct 20 2014, 10:51 AM |

CB, PBB and MBB can place FD online but cannot terminate online. Bro, I'm not sure about termination. But for MBB eFD, when placing the eFD, I set it to credit into my SA upon maturity. My eFD in MBB is standby fund to pay for my credit cards bills.Good and bad points. And Bro, kimmo88 was talking about FD placing with branch cannot be uplifted via online and not placing the FD online with UOB. This post has been edited by Gen-X: Oct 20 2014, 09:17 AM |

QUOTE(kinabalu @ Oct 20 2014, 08:50 AM) I did not find any links to stop the eFD. Unlike CIMB which has one so at any time you can terminate the eFD. Do MBB has that ? For CB & PBB I cannot find such links for eFD, not mentioning normal FD placed OTC. Edited as MBB has uplifting option. This post has been edited by bbgoat: Oct 20 2014, 10:53 AM |

Earlier only look at "FD online" link. You go maybank2u play play and see, got one. CIMB eFD uplift is much easier. So have to play play more to discover more hidden links in bank website. Just an update for MBB 4% upfront FD.
Went to MBB at SS2 just now and they said the quota is finished. But I managed to place the FD at MBB in uptown. Looks like each branches have different quotas. Furthermore, MBB uptown does not even bother to ask where my funds coming from. I was able to open the FD without much hassle compared to at SS2. Excellent service. Gonna ban MBB ss2 in my list from the future. |

I just came back from menara hap seng branch also said quota finished. Somemore the lady gave me some fierce look, asked her colleague to talk to me & then told off the front desk not to route FD promo queries to her! Another bad service branch! But Uptown difficult to look for parking though unless on the dot 9-9.30am This post has been edited by gchowyh: Oct 20 2014, 11:44 AM |
