Need keyboard suggestions..

Things i need..

- Prefer TKL
- Cherry MX Red
- Have detachable cable and preferably on the left or right side instead of middle like filco
- LED if possible
- Media keys
- Costar stabilizer

I already have a Poker II and Filco MJ2 TKL. Wanna 'upgrade' my filco to something with detachable cable and with programmable buttons or with built in media keys. Filco's a great solid board but it feels like 2004 to me with what other boards are currently offering. Non-detachable cable, cable port built in middle which interferes with my monitor, no media key supports.. I'm considering ducky shine but i don't like cherry stabilizers at all.

Any suggestions?

Upgrade? hmm.gif Can only go Custom liao, can't go back already, all others are crappier than Filco.
Custom wise, most USB cable option is just like Poker II, left, middle or right side depends on the PCB and casing.

Need Custom sifus to continue with the rest of the story... blush.gif

Sounds like WASD V2 (detachable cable with 5-way routing so you can let the cable out from the side, LED, media keys, costar) but I don't know if that is considered an 'upgrade' in terms of build quality & feel.

... or go kustom.. tongue.gif

Don't understand the hate on Cherry stabs. It's not better or worse without mods, but MUCH better than costar once modded. Nonetheless, there are case mods for Filco also, and most Duckies will offer the cable routing.

In the end, IIRC Filco is the only co-star stab that I will recommend personally.

Dream on boyo. Vintage Blacks made using different plastics. Can't get it anymore.
