Getting Started

QUOTE(GamersFamilia @ Aug 14 2016, 09:36 PM) A rattling noise from the engine may indicate that the timing chain need replacement , after change timing chain ( full set ) no more rattling noise ... Ok then, time to get a new set... hopefully doesnt cost much QUOTE(therain01 @ Aug 14 2016, 10:47 PM) I thought rattling sound from engine bay is normally due to hydraulic teppet/lifter. this noise is only happened few seconds on cold start, I guess lifter noise will always there even after warm up.

So far..very satisfied.. Engine performance and fuel consumption Much better..
Eventhough some shell bengkel said do not use tesco shell oil due to not suitable for malaysian car(temperature/climate)

If can hit 1 million km even better wa...very ambitious target...you'll probably need an engine and transmission rebuild at intervals of around 400k km (max drag to 500k)... Hopefully still got spare parts available by the time you reach the 2nd rebuild.

QUOTE(peejayboy @ Aug 20 2016, 10:23 AM) Hey there, was just wondering if Honda service centres do not sell engine oils for walk-in customers? Most likely the don't but there's no point buying from SC. They are selling SN0w30 for around RM200 when you can get it at authorised Honda parts dealer for RM160 to 165. Last time I went to SC & wanted to buy 1 bottle of type 2 coolant. They don't sell it unless you service your car with them.

Hi guys, gonna change engine oil soon
What's the option I should go for? I am not always using the car, should I pick semi synthetic instead of fully?
But can a semi synth oil last 6 months? I.don't think i will.reach the mileage before 6 months.
