QUOTE(dstl1128 @ May 21 2016, 11:50 PM) Felt like those cheap made-in-china items sold in 5-ringgit shops with japanese wordings and packaging surrounded. LOL. Yet this SUMO has managed to deceive so many drivers successfully in Malaysia. A customer called me up that day asking for SUMO. I just told him i don't sell crap stuff...no offense.

QUOTE(mobeus @ May 26 2016, 11:23 AM) city '09 so is it a good thing or bad thing Preferably keep it to recommendation as stated in your car manual. XW-30 should be ideal for City.

QUOTE(rangeseven @ Jun 8 2016, 04:37 PM) It says here in the manual to get the correct viscosity based on atmospheric temperature So the question is my car can take 5W30 engine oil? Car is Saga FL 1.6 BTW There are plenty of Saga FL drivers on 5W-30. Not a problem as long as your engine does not consume engine oil.

QUOTE(g9000z @ Jun 8 2016, 08:31 PM) Shell helix ultra 5w-40 maybe? RM139 at Giant on promotion.. Tesco or Giant? I am confused as well. But their RM139 price for Shell Helix Ultra is hard to beat.

QUOTE(HafisUN @ Jun 20 2016, 01:23 PM) anyone have any exp using Caltex Havoline? Decent performer, but nothing to shout about. The TBN value for Havoline ProDS is a bit low though.

QUOTE(takeshiru @ Jun 28 2016, 03:41 PM) Thanks yea.. Wanting to try but then only a fee brands like millers and RP has it. Thats premium! Honda has 0W-20 at rather affordable price right? Never used before so can't comment on the quality. If you are willing to consider 5W-20 then it opens up to a lot more options. Afterall 0W or 5W shouldn't be a concern for our climate.

QUOTE(mls_gamer @ Jul 3 2016, 10:42 PM) This afternoon changed my EO to motul 300v 5w30, first time using this oil pair with Project mu oil filter previous EO was Torco Sr1 5w30 with Work engineering oil filter. Less sluggish compare to torco, i feel that my car more smooth during high speed... How much you paid for 300V and Torco SR1?

QUOTE(工藤新一 @ Jul 12 2016, 07:21 PM) Hi all, Is shell helix hx7 good for Myvi? Is it worth to use shell engine oil to enjoy this engine warranty? https://shew.shell.com/If not then can recommend any other engine oil? My car is 7 years old this year. The terms and conditions as written in the small print have ruled out almost all the possibilities of warranty claim from end users. In short, it is more of a marketing gimmick than anything else. I guess the Tesco/Giant parallel import has hit them hard.

QUOTE(isr25 @ Jul 23 2016, 07:46 AM) Hi all, This is not a question about engine oil per se, but related to it. My Honda service center recommends to use engine oil flushing (by Liqui Moly) every 10K KM. I just read the FAQ in the North American Honda webpage, which strongly recommends against the use of engine oil flushing products, and it may void the engine warranty. Honda Malaysia page is silent about this though... So what do you guys think? Should I? Or shouldn't I? Thanks! This is a much debated topic which has no perfectly right or wrong answer to it. Personally i won't flush my engine, but i know some drivers are very much into flushing. Malaysia Honda SC? They are just trying to make extra money out of it...

QUOTE(munky @ Jul 26 2016, 04:36 PM) does engine oil expire in an engine that doesn't run much? for example today i service my car. After 6 months, the car only traveled 2000 km. Should it be changed or can it be used until 10k km? Yes, you still need to change despite running 2k only. Some of the better grade fully synthetic oil can last for 1 year in engine, but most products on market have effective lifespan of ~6 months in engine. Hope it helps.

QUOTE(max_cjs0101 @ Jul 28 2016, 11:44 AM) Its such a pain in the ass to find affordable xW-30 semi/fully synthetic oils! The term 'affordable' varies by individual actually. I am not too sure about your budget. A decent grade fully syn XW-30 usually costs from RM150/bottle.

QUOTE(efaceninja @ Jul 27 2016, 07:47 PM) found that Bezza's (1NR-VE) oil recommendation is 0w-20 as found labelled on the inside of the engine bay (the hood). does this means we can depending on cheap and cheerful 0w-20 oil from perodua soon?? because a 0w20 oil is generally expensive on the market [attachmentid=7190256] I think Axia is using the green bottle Perodua Fully Syn 0W-20. It shouldn't be expensive.

QUOTE(therain01 @ Sep 20 2016, 09:50 PM) I used to have a Honda city 2005. The cvt break down in just 3 years time and to replace a new one will cost RM30K. Honda Malaysia won't honor their warranty. Replacing the fluid will not save your cvt transmission. Issue will come back in short period of time even if it is temporarily fixed. You are lucky enough the gearbox last you for so many years. I have City '06 at home. CVT working perfectly well after 10 years. Maybe i am lucky.
