Greetings.
Planning to get this phablet as replacement for my dying galaxy mega. after googled around, i notice this device is perfect for me. I mainly use my mega as ebook reader. actually planning to get cheaper android phone to pair with Mi Pad but ditch the idea and planning to get Mediapad X1 instead.

I just bought this Huawei Mediapad X1 and have a problem in that it doesn't images in Google Play Store. I can use Google Play Store but none of the app icons load. What could be the problem? Can't be problem with my particular unit right? Using WIFI Streamyx. Please help, thank you.

You might need a couple of reboots.

If not, then perhaps a clear of Play Store cache and data might help.

You will need to sign in again after doing this though.

x2 announced!

http://www.gsmarena.com/huawei_unveils_the...-news-11370.php

if new SoC Kirin 930 is 16nm, it could even long lasting for the battery.

Since Kirin 925 on mate7 already quite snappier, believe new x2 should be a good portable media tab with phone features. downside still the GPU packed under Kirin 930 if still remain the same Mali T628

The X2 is a speed upgrade for the X1. Physical dimensions seem identical.

Lollipop out of the box though.

Dear Community,

I have just sold off my Mediapad X1.

It has been a good device and served me well enough, but I was feeling the urge to try something else, since technology is so pervasive smile.gif

You may still ask any questions and I will answer to the best of my knowledge.

Have seen joytest show up in other forums and joined this one because of what he has put out on this phone.
I have the 7D-503L phone that I thought was the international model untill I read the info joytest put out.
Like many new members, I have come in search of advice. Have bricked just about every phone I have ever had.
This one is proving harder than the rest to undue. Most of my older models had a greater following with enough info to get me out of trouble. Right now all I have is fastboot and nothing else. I tried to flash a recovery using TWRP Manager because I managed to get root. Well that was all, after that nothing but the Logo screen that says honor and powered by android. Hoping I can use fastboot to fix the mess. Have tried recovery.img, but still nothing. Does anyone know what I can do or is the an expensive paper weight. Thanks rclxub.gif

Since you can boot into fastboot :

1. Use fastboot flash recovery stock recovery.img : type in exactly your stock recovery img file name
2. Go and download your firmware - extract it to get dload folder. Copy this dload folder to external SDcard
3. Boot phone into recovery mode and you can restore your firmware from it

This is standard way to restore back all firmware in all the HW phones I'd used to date ( mate 6.1, X1, Mate7)

Hi embcall, I am really honored that many international participants came here for X1 information. For fastboot, you will need to use fastboot commands, and benny888 here is a fantastic contributor in Lowyat forum.

Place your recovery.img to your sdcard and use the command that benny provided.

You cannot use the regular SDcard update method because of custom recovery, and you need the stock recovery before you can perform step 2 and 3.

You could try the Russian 4pda forums for stock recovery of the 703L. I only have the 701L.

Otherwise, could other forum members who have rooted 703L install Flashify and create a backup of the stock recovery and post a link here?

Yes, thank you very much. I will try this method because at the moment the SD card will not work. Have tried the
recovery_cn.img, but it didn't work. I started messing with phones ever since the Droid Incredible. Moved on to Samsung, but really like the Huawei. Seems like they have it together better than the others. Will get back with you in a few days.

HI Beny 888 and other
you can extract the recovery.img from an update.app with the "Huawei update extractor" search on google.
ive the same issue i extract the recovery from the B007 and flash with fastboot (flashify dont work)  and all its done
the fastboot command is:  fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

the link to the official xda thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2433454

you can also extract .IMG than you want , modify it with android image kitchen
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2073775
,flash .img with fastboot look for command or a fastboot/adb gui to google or repack the entire firmware with huaweii update extractor for a full flash

i tried to modify boot.img but it seems the .header of certains files is separate and i cant extract those files so cant modify kernel for gpu oc or add frequencies or gouv if somebody have an idea
*
Seems like I already tried this. Sorry to say nothing happened and I used the newest full update. Extracted all and fastbooted fastboot flash recovery recovery.img. Now let me try it with command [/d]. Thanks
