So far I have no issue on GPS lockup indoors on 3g alone. Outside absolutely no problems using Sygic.

I was on holiday in Thailand past few days but phone was on 24/7 with WiFi connected ( off 3G as do not want to pay extra for data ) - the phone on standby most of the time with about an hour surfing, whatsapp about 50 a day and my last check show it had been on for 36 hours with still 40+ % battery left
With normal usage ( 3G /WiFI 0n 24/7) and about 80% on internet stuffs, my minimum SOT was 10 hours and sometimes I hit up to 14 hours

I use Dolphin or Boat browser only. Has never like Chrome as very limited in features. Stock browser rarely touch it

Just tested . I think is Chrome issue...no problems doing it on Dolphin, Boat browser

Chromecast since day one works perfectly well on this phone playing youtube videos
Haven't test this mirroring yet as ver 1.7 not available yet for download as of now

I think cannot work as google states it requires kitkat os

I have tested mirroring the phone to my Sony TV using Samsung HDMI adapter ( the older version meant for S2, S3 and Note) and it works perfectly well. Playing movies on the phone and shown on TV was very smooth and stutter free
It doesn't work on the newer HDMI adapter ( meant for Note 3 and S4)
So no need to wait for Chromecast for such feature

You need to buy 2 items :

1. The Samsung HDTV Adapter HDMI ( just google this at E Bay ) and choose those meant for S3, S4 or Note 2 ( cost less than RM 40). My purchase link already broken as I bought it in 2012. Any of those generic type will do or buy from Samsung authorised shop and prepare to pay RM100+ for it

2. HDMI cable ( less than RM 20) - any generic type will do. I am using Sony original cable

Setup : Plug one end of HDMI cable to HDMI port of TV. Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI port of the HDMI adapter. Connect the micro USB end to phone and using another micro USB cable connect it to the microUSB port of the hDMI adapter and plug the other end of this cable to a USB port of power adapter

The phone is still being charged while connected - you can see the charging logo at the taskbar

All my Samsung phones never go flat ...does your MHL has a port to connect to power source
The MHL adapter for my Xperia doesn't have n in this case battery will drain

This phablet is not every man's taste mainly because of its size n pocketability..those who often wear jeans will have some problem pocketting it
It fits nicely in my shirt n long pants/3-4 shorts side pockets.
However phone performance is not really top notch n I rate it only an 8 vs say a 9 for the Xperia Z Ultra. Even at 8 , I am more than happy considering also the price one pay for it

I do not really appreciate kitkat on all my previous phones. An upgrade to 4.3 is good enough for me
Kitkat writability restriction on ext sdcard is a dissapointment unless one root the phone n install app nextappsdfix. This app however does not work effectively 100%. I downgraded back to 4.3 for my previous XZU, LG pad n HTC One Max

It is OK but a poor practice...I suggest you use a timer to cut off electricity supply after 4 hours. I am using my LG charger n Nokia cable and it takes about 3.5 hours to hit 100% from about 10%. The phone electrical circuitry theoretically will auto cut off charging once fully charged. Is your choice..

Maybe you can try setting/display n untick cover window. If it works is very good feature n why the need to disable it?
I never bother as I use an app ( very efficient) to shutdown display - screen off n just doubletap on display to wake it up ( this is phone default feature)
My flipcase is not a good fit as flip cover doesn't closes it well flat n unable to test this
