If you have a locked bootloader you *may* not be able to perform a fastboot flash....

The 501L bootloader is unlocked after the 4.4.2 ROMs, but I think the 503L bootloaders should be unlocked by default.

Were you running adb shell from your PC ?

Yes I was running running adb shell on my PC and the fastboot screen on the phone shows unlocked. Have not tried anything since last post. Been tring to read up as much as possible, but will try tonight.

You need to place the img file in the same folder as where your adb shell path is on the PC IIRC, or on the root of the sdcard, but I think you can't access the sdcard now so PC folder seems the only option.

When will x2 coming?

If what happened last year to the X1 is similarly applicable, expect China availability sometime in May, and Asia perhaps in June, then rest of the world later.

Finialy figured out part of it. I thought I was using ADB, but it does not see the device. I have killed and started server but I think it is a driver problem. If I get past this, I think every thing will be ok. Will keep working on trying to get ADB SHELL to see what the computer sees as "Android Sooner Single ADB interface". Thanks for everyones help. I have sold my Note 8.0 due to its poor screen quality. Any idea if we compare Mediapad X1 Screen quality with Note 8.0 as I'm planning to get Mediapad X1. I have seen that the battery and camera is much better on MP 1. Any other plus points that you guys might want to add?

Any recommended good shops seling Mediapad X1 in Penang? Appreciate if you guys could post some price idea too.

The screen on the X1 is DEFINITELY better than the grainy 1280x800 on the Note8.

However for Penang you might have to check around, or perhaps ship from SatuGadget or DirectD.

Finally able to root this phone using iroot. Replaced the su with chainfire pro.

Bought Torras casing thru tatabazaar. It's autowake casing. It appears that the clock widget will pops when it's sleeping but the torras case got no peek window. How to turn off the sleepmode clock?

Oh. I placed by my order for Torras book case thru Tatabazaar yesterday. Expect to receive it by end of next week. How long does it takes for the case to arrive to you?

My order landed on shop's closing date during chinese new year. They closed for a month and when they got back there's a 800 order waiting. My order is on 14 feb and the package reached me today. One month yo but worth waiting. They only have two staff so expect a delay.

Hello. I am trying to decide between mediapad x1 and x2. I see almost no difference between the x1 and x2 except for the processor. The size and design and battery and camera and screen spec seem all the same. Do you think the camera is any better on the x2 than the x1? What about screen? Or did they just use the old parts from x1?

If everything else exactly the same except for processor, I would rather buy x1 since it is cheap and out right now. x2 won't come out til May? and be more expensive.

I also have a few questions about x1. I have hard time finding good reviews. How good is the camera? Is it better/worse than Galaxy S4 camera? Also, how fast is the old kirin 910? I mean day to day usage, not benchmark since I know it bad in benchmark. With latest software update, is it as fast as snapdragon 800/801? I know raw power snapdragon much better, but for web browsing and simple apps, about the same speed?
