I wonder if anyone in here willing to spend some times to write a full manual on how to utilize the Mi3's stock camera app. I for one is a android camera app noob. It will be great if there's a manual for people who can't get used to the Mi3's camera features.

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Jul 8 2014, 12:44 PM) Yes, the best function. I think Android is stupid OS because need to go into setting to uninstall App. Now with MIUI, the stupidity of Android is now no more. Please close this thread 1 hour before and 5 hours after Xiaomi sales And a lots of custom ROM before MIUI able to uninstall app directly from launcher/home. You should try pure android experience before saying Android is stupid.

QUOTE(suntzulee @ Jul 8 2014, 11:51 AM) actually it all depends what os u used in your lappy/desktop...if windows 7 or 8, u need not to worry as it auto detect...if win xp, then a bit troublesome...as drivers are needed I'm using Windows 7. Previously installed MiuiLite and found it unfriendly and uninstalled. Now when I plug in USB, all I can see is just Mi3W camera......

QUOTE(Max2006 @ Jul 8 2014, 01:49 PM) Insteadd of listening to other's opinions, why don't you just try to apply a few themes and see what happen? It's quite easy to apply. If you don't like it, you can always delete the installed theme anytime you want. As simple as that. No harm for trying new things, right? I dare not simply install apps/ theme now.... From my past experience, though you uninstall the games/ apps/ themes, it will still kept some files/ folders/ something associated apps that I might not know (found out through usb plug-in and surprised that folders for uninstalled apps still kept in my phone). Worried this may eventually affect the phone performance or maybe it won't but I am not a very IT savvy person, instead of putting myself in dilemma of to delete or not to delete those files, got to think twice before install.

I remember before I install MiUI Lite (contained in the phone and shown as CDROM drive), the first time I connected to USB, all the folders are shown in explorer. After I installed MiUI Lite, no more such folders.....and therefore I uninstalled it....but still can't see the folders.

QUOTE(kamikraze @ Jul 8 2014, 12:55 PM) post like up this the reason TS closed thread.. and people like this making our thread get closer to Kopitiam section.. report fag who trigger Mod's attention here is not a appropriate place to talk about flash sales purchase. Reason thread been close due to traders & scalpers pretend to discuss about the phone, but in actual fact trying to lure customer into buying their product, trader should first stop putting link to their signiture on Xioami related product to begin with. How not to discuss about Xiaomi flash sales which that is how majority of us get our phone, unless u r trying to promote the ideas of getting the phone from traders who provide link to their business.

You might need to manually delete the driver. And if wrongly delete driver, you might screw up your WIndows PC. Hahaha

So you're saying before this, you can see the MI3 Drive at PC Windows Explorer, but now you only see MI3 Camera Device? In your phone, did you set the "USB Connected" drop down notification as "Files" instead of "Photos"?

Yes i noticed some residue file still in my phone despite uninstall, i use OI File Manager which can show all the file & manually removed them. Smartphone cannot install apps would be meaningless isn't it.

TS won't reply to this. A lot of people have pointed this out to him already but he prefers to stay quiet on this

I changed the theme of my phone and it applied sucessfully. After taking out the Google search widget , the clock from the theme vanished and I couldn't retrieve it back. Was wondering if any techgeeks can help me bring back the clock ? Thanks

No worry bro. Miui v5 is unique. After you uninstall certain apps/files, some cache sure would be kept inside the phone storage. But you can use Miui's cleaner app to clean it up. And you don't have to worry about on what time you should clean it because the cleaner app would inform you to act accordingly once the useless cache reach certain limits. My real experience: Last night when I browsed through the phone, a reminder showed up and told me there's 350 mb of useless files inside the phone. I tapped it, run the cleaner, retrieved the 350mb. All these happened in 10 secs.
