p/s: i don't want go back to SERIOUS KOPITIAM to discuss about xiaomi mi3, it is a big humiliate

Reason thread been close due to traders & scalpers pretend to discuss about the phone, but in actual fact trying to lure customer into buying their product, trader should first stop putting link to their signiture on Xioami related product to begin with.

How not to discuss about Xiaomi flash sales which that is how majority of us get our phone, unless u r trying to promote the ideas of getting the phone from traders who provide link to their business.  cool2.gif

TS won't reply to this. A lot of people have pointed this out to him already but he prefers to stay quiet on this tongue.gif

what he said is true to some extent.

ppl putting link in their signature is their own free choice.
and
ppl posting link in this thread to promote is another issue.

please know the difference
*
I disagree your point. Okay 1 ad as a TS on the same product might be okay. But it's the whole series of ads on signature. You don't preach what you don't follow. Off course people are going to see this fact and go like TS isn't serious anyway, look he has ads. smile.gif

I agree. signature is not an issue. but promoting sales is the issue.
i think there a function to hide signature if dont want to see it right?

Agreed.

Why not call that seller and ask him to take his item back and return ur money? You got the right to do that!
I hope you bought from someone who is active here or even if he isn't you got his number right? You can make a polis report and get his details? Especially if his named is mentioned on the receipt? It might be a bit of a hassle now but you might get your cash back. Also please be careful next time.

Either he fooled you or somehow you messed up the sim tray. Since I don't know what really happened I can only suggest you to claim it. I would also suggest you not to sell it but instead pass it to your friend and ask him to claim it for you. Later when the phone comes back repaired or replaced he or she can always mail it back to you whrever you are right.

one more option, he could just open a dispute thread instead of ranting the whole fiasco here only if the seller is a lyn member. Alternatively, can only blame himself from buying from a stranger without proper checking of the phone.l

What makes the whole story so unbelievable are due to these points
1. He's keeping mum on the identity of the seller
2. Selling a defect phone to another buyer
3. Did not do anything to report
4. Offer or selling phone on this thread
5. Could it be a way to get sympathize and easy to sell a defect phone whereas there is no such seller who ignored him...all the story is just made up. To entice you guys or get rid on a lemon unit...
6. Maybe he screw up the sim pin himself at first and later decide to sell it off....

More and more unexplained points and suspicious on his motive.... rclxub.gif
*
I feel the same too. But I might be wrong. None than less I won't buy even if it's for 500RM. Imagine you go to claim and SC says hey this item reported stolen, how you get it. Cannot claim blah blah .

Eventhough pay-per-use is unlimited (correct me if im wrong) but it's more expensive than monthly data plan.

I've learned my lesson. 1month usage of pay-per-use data on celcom, skyrocketed my phonebill to rm2k sweat.gif Thankfully back then, celcom got their (10%?) discount per (rm250) cap.. something like that.. as a result, rm2k - rm1.8k discount = ~rm200+ needed to pay.

After pay, immediately change to monthly data plan tongue.gif
*
10% of 250RM and the bill 2k doesn't gives you a 1.8k discount :S.

Hi guys,I just get my mi3 yesterday but I facing a problem. The phone neither can be turn on nor charged.
At first, when I try to turn on the phone, the phone body is heating up.When I charge the phone, the red lights only blink once and afterwards nothing happen.
Is it any solutions for this matter or the phone need to be send back to service center?
*
If I was you, even with a solution I would rather go claim it. No one here had similar issue and if thr is a fix without claiming it I would suggest you claim and get one to one exchange within 15 days. smile.gif Good luck. Don't waste time.

Imo, just my opinion
Ts should remove his signature as this matter already mentioned by forumers so many time.

And this is to keep this thread as clean as possible
*
+1 on this. I've been pointing it out since a while, but no action is taken. Now that he or she Pm ppl to remove sales link from signature, I think he or she should remove first. Don't preach what you don't follow lol.

All my years in LYN, first time I've encountered self administered rules for a thread by one person.

I don't see what's wrong with discussion on sales openly as more people will be aware of actual market prices for items.
Indirectly, forumers will gain knowledge to avoid scalpers or being scammed.

Personally, I'm more annoyed at statements like "I bought this for cheap, PM me for price" rather than "this shop is selling at RM769 but AP set laa.."

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I'm not mistaken in previous threads also a mod has posted that a TS with so many sales in signature is also a form of indirect promotion.

Okay finished ranting, now continue to try out Piston2 with Spotify laugh.gif

There are essential guides and information on the first page. Stick with the stable rom if you don't want to deal with (more) bugs.
If money isn't an issue the N5 might be better. It gets the latest software updates and there are fewer bugs due to ineptitude. The Mi3 has a lot of issues that the devs haven't gotten around to fixing (and probably never will), especially with regard to camera optimization. This thing has a 13MP sensor but it looks more like subpar 8MP than anything. I'm not sure if it's because they're too busy adding new features rather than fixing old bugs but I wouldn't be surprised if they were saving cost on the software side as well. Android L will be released on the Nexus phones first and the Mi3 might never get that. But if you're willing to wait and have the cash to splurge, the next generation of both phones will be released sometime soon.

Most honest opinion to which i totally agree! (y)

I can actually get it cheaper AP set for 2 years warranty. But not sure that is the way to go or not. 2 years warranty from shop, cheaper price vs 1 year warranty at slightly more pricey (aboout RM30 difference)

I haven't actually discuss it with my sister. Cause I know she will use anything I get for her. But it is my parents who I have to go through. They have the mentality that china phones are of no quality. Can explode anytime. But I am totally cool with this China phone seeing that Singaporean grab it, all phones are made in china nowadays andthey have someone previously from Google.

The thing I scared is the phone suddenly cannot call or sms.

Another reason holding me back is I read in the MIUI forums, Xiaomi takes your money and dont care about you. I don't like to give my money to somebody like that. That is why I do not like to do business with apple. Drop my ipad 2 and they refuse to service for me saying it is against apple's policy to open up the ipad.  vmad.gif

As much as I don't want to sound harsh, bro it is common sense. If a device is not nice thr wont be hype about it. And if thr is hype and it is not commonly found then only people who knows what 'literally' a smartphone is are the one who buys it which means if you go through previously 10 threads you can clearly see that it doesn't takes a brainer for you to buy this phone. Sorry for sounding rude but it's annoying to see some lame concerns sometimes. All it takes is some reading and common sense.

Exactly. That is my point. Even my Sony is make in China. All phones are made in China.

I am planning to get from directd if I am buying mi3. RM749. + 2 years warranty. I know is AP set. Or you guys think I should try my luck this tuesday and settle for official xiaomi malaysia set priced at RM769, 1 year warranty?
*
buy ori. Why? ori after service HAS to be better than AP warranty. Why? because ori set after sales warranty guys are usually more trained professionals. Ok one might argue and say no AP set will be sent to hong kong and then over thr the pros will fix blah blah, well it is MORE time consuming. If you wanna be more on the safe side and IF by chance you get unlucky and ur set need to send back for RMA or repair. It will be handled by professionals in Malaysia only and you will get it back comparatively earlier than AP set.
