Still far from perfect.

After installing Kitkat, I tried Google camera app and instantly can see the difference in term of focusing speed and sharpness. Really something wrong with Mi3 camera app. Xiaomi is definitely doing something wrong. Either they suck or too much compression.
*
So means using Kitkat Camera App ok already?

I think video call is good if it's in a secured & supported environment like FaceTime
But too bad our 3G here is a bit  doh.gif
*
video call not good if got charges.

QUOTE(goolias @ Jul 8 2014, 09:15 AM)
Well, when you have parents staying away from you, and they miss their grand children but couldn't come to your house or you hardly got time to visit them, you will know how great is to have a video call function.
In android, only Samsung phone has it iinm.
*
Why use video call? Video call free meh?

Better use skype which is free.

Some themes are buggy, some are badly translated (Chinese to English).

Still prefer the default theme.

ok ok... then I'll keep with the default theme then~

There's a reason why MIUI is following iOS.

The greatest thing about MIUI/iOS is that we can uninstall App straight from launcher itself.

I like that function so much, so convenient  thumbup.gif
*
Yes, the best function. I think Android is stupid OS because need to go into setting to uninstall App.

Now with MIUI, the stupidity of Android is now no more.

And a lots of custom ROM before MIUI able to uninstall app directly from launcher/home.

You should try pure android experience before saying Android is stupid.
*
Pure android cannot uninstall from launcher right? hmm.gif

I remember before I install MiUI Lite (contained in the phone and shown as CDROM drive), the first time I connected to USB, all the folders are shown in explorer. After I installed MiUI Lite, no more such folders.....and therefore I uninstalled it....but still can't see the folders.  sad.gif
*
maybe the MIUI lite driver still there. You might need to manually delete the driver. And if wrongly delete driver, you might screw up your WIndows PC. Hahaha

Few months back I swap my S3 international to S3 LTE I9305 (2gb ram) , External Memory Card 64GB. Now using it with 4.4.4 Custom Rom and extended Anker battery 4.4k.

Have a question on mi3, how does it perform in normal usage vs S3 LTE I9305 ? No gaming what so ever?
*
If we have scale from 1(worst) to 10 (best), Mi3 perform at 8 while S3 LTE perform at 2 (no gaming whatsoever).

The reason is Mi3-
a) processor is faster 3x than S3 so everything snappy
b) storage in Mi3 also 4x faster than S3
c) screen also better than S3
d) wifi also 4x faster
e) camera is 2x better

S3 is rubbish compared to Mi3.

1 thing u will miss a lot:
-expandable memory

That is, if u always keep lot of data >10gb
*
expandable memory is overrated and has nothing to do with performance.

I don't think it's purely about space, but more to convenience.
I also have several OTG, but sometimes I forgot to bring.
rclxub.gif
Never used the PC software, I only upload backups from hp, then access the files from web.

In terms of speed, yeah sometimes feels a bit slow but most of the time normal if use unifi.
laugh.gif
*
Phone is for calling and surf net. Why do you need 64GB? rclxub.gif doh.gif

Some people like to watch movie on-the-go
Thats 1 example
*
I don't think so if you're driving. Unless you're taking bus or LRT.

Most people are driving. So I don't think watching movie on the go make any sense.
