Xiaomi service centre charges RM370 for LCD+digitizer replacement, but they don't repair models not sold in Malaysia. I bought my 64GB Mi3 from china and the only thing I can think of now, is ordering a replacement and tear it down myself. The digitizer + LCD part costs RM200 without shipping.

Not sure anyone of you facing the same issue as my Mi3 does.

Recently I have tried to install Mi3 USB driver and it is completed.

But when I plug in the Mi3 for USB tethering, I having one issue which is it show the firmware version not the latest, and I'm unable to access to the internet at all. When plug in the phone, it shows the firmware not the latest, but when I click update firmware, it showed the Mi3 already the latest (MIUI JXDMYBD14.0 Stable version), but I just don't know why I can't do USN tethering...

Then I tried Wifi tethering, this time it works, I can connect my laptop to the internet, but after a while (5-10 min), the connection will lost, and I have to reconnect back the Wifi hotspot again, this happen always.

Anyone of you facing the issue as above? And anything you have done to fix this kind of problem before? Please let me know, thanks.

p.s # I doing this by placing my Mi3 near my laptop within 30cm distance, and the phone is fully charged, and I tested with my old samsung note before, the line is always stable there. I'm using Maxis, at that area will have 4-5 bar with H+/H sign.

Sorry to ask this but how do I link FB info with my contact list if the person's name in contact and FB is different? In S3, I know....

Hi all, I notice today my xiaomi have a "no connection" issue after receiving call around 10 second, right after the call dropped, the network status is returned back.

I am pretty sure this is not Maxis issue as I have asked around my colleagues, from previous thread, the issue is described like below, but I could not find any solution to it, please help!!

This is a normal problem for Xiaomi using MIUI rom.

Those apps are not quite compatible with MIUI.

And oso Xiaomi SwiftKey is non-ori version. So, if lag is common problem.

I noticed that the latest developer ROM changed the way task manager behaved. Before this, it usually close every app after the phone went into sleep for certain amount of time. Now, it stop killing apps and end up using more RAM instead.

hi guys, i got a question. my mi3 has been working fine for the past week, but this morning, i got a call and when i picked up, i coudnt hear anything. yeah the earpiece seems to be dead. i switched on speakerphone and sure enough the call was working fine.

rebooted phone, switched it totally off and turn back on, then took out the sim tray and put it back in. i also did that hardware test, and yep, cant hear anything through the earpiece as well. no go.

i'm judging this is a hardware issue and will take it to the warranty center.

juuuust to check though, is there anything else i can try that might save me the trip to PJ? im in cyberjaya..i'd rather not have to make the journey.

Afraid someone with accident dail numbers which they don't intend to dial.

eg. Accidentally call wife while in girlfriend house...lol

I'm using ori swiftkey..

This problem started with this week Dev rom only

I faced this problem months before after updating to swiftkey version 5, and I'm on dev. rom all the time, yet now I found no solution for it. Now I'm using latest Google Keyboard with Material UI.
