Guys, please don't be so harsh on me. I did my homework. Read all reviews for this phone. But there are not enough reviews to make up my mind.

Only I didn't read alll v11 of the forums. Just bits and pieces. Too much people commenting about delivery, raging.

Besides of keep worrying about those matters, why don't you just let your sister to decide on what she wants? What? You said she always depend on you and will use whatever you decided? How old are your sister? Unless she is still in kindergarden or primary school. If not, then don't spoil her too much.

Ask her to do the research. Ask her to decide. It's her brother: you who will buy the phone for her. This is the least thing she should do (to show her appreciation).

And don't tell us that your sister cannot make decision on this. This is just a god damn phone that can only last for 2-3 years. It's not like you are going to marry someone and stick to him forever. Tell her to act like an adult and make her own choice. Then you can give yourself a break from keep worrying this and that for her.

Actually yes and no. When I heard about mi3, google the specs, and price in RM, I was blown away. That time, I decided if I were to replace my sony, it will be a mi. For what I pay so much for a phone with similar specs when I can get a phone with last year specs at such a low price? WIth Google's Android Hugo Bara with xiaomi, I am sure they are high quality phone.

Then I read about the bugs of the mi3 and how it was not fix. That was when I start having doubts. That is why my other choice was z1c. Having good experience with my zr. Naturally, I will pick zr successor which is z1c.

I wanted to buy Mi3 ever since it launched in China last year. Even thinking of asking friends to buy from China but decided not to cos no local warranty. When AP sets are available, I held back from buying cos not keen in AP sets. In May when Xiaomi brings in Mi3 for online sale, I quickly tried to grab during the 1st batch but failed. Managed to buy it at RM889 the next day when cancelled orders were released back for sale.
So far I've managed to grab several Mi3 and power banks for my friends. They really love Mi3 and have no regrets buying this phone. One of them is an Iphone user and she is fascinated with Mi3.

I guess you really don't have anyone with you that is really ignorant on tech, is it not?

I have a sister WHO is not really good at IT, if ask her to do research, habis, don't know what comes out. So she will always ask her brother to find and decide for her and trust me on that since I'm familiar or at least able to do more thorough research than one who don't have any idea where to start and what to do.

If I have someone who I deem is MUCH stronger than me in a field and I need a solution from that field, would it be faster for me to do take time to do research for something I'm not really keen to go into details or I just ask that someone to do it for me (I know he's willing, no prob)....

Mm...warranty might really be an issue if you live far away coz unlike phone shops where you can send it, MI3, you need to go yourself to SC especially if its in a different town. Never really think of that coz all the current SC is within my reach.

For your sis, if she only do whatapps, wechat, sms, phone calls, surf net, etc, I doubt she will encounter any bugs or might even be ignorant of a bug that might irritate us but she just glide over it without realising its a bug.

Even S4, if really read up on it, there's tons of bugs and complain here and there but in reality, the only one that is visible to me is this widget hang thingy that does not happen to everyone and besides that, I don't see or realise any visible bugs, so don't put too much into bugs reporting. And if you really look carefully, you might just realise a lot of these bugs reporting does not come from stock rom as well.

eerrr...what bugs?

when you know the bug exist, will u be using that function? unless its the network connection issue, or sim card cant detect, that is somewhat unlucky.

other brands may have the same problem but its very small and not worth mentioning.

i cant remember the bugs listed here previously but when i look at my phone and based on my usage, i just ignore the bugs as it does not affect/affect minimally my daily usage, but i can live with it.

to be honest, i bought 2 mi3, 1 for me and 1 for the wife..

no regrets at all.

I also have 2 sisters who also not good at IT stuff. I guess I am kind of a strict brother. Whenever they want to buy IT stuff, I would let them do the researches on their own. Internet is there. So it should not be difficult to do so. I still would give my suggestions. But at the end, it's their own call. To other people, it may sound like I am reluctant to help. But my sisters know that it's for their own good. Big brother or any other family member will not always be around with you all the time. One day you will have to count on yourself when it comes to decision making. So it's always better to practice now and learn thorugh experience, rather than being helpless in the future.

Oops. Kind of out of topic here. Sorry for the long story. sweat.gif

hi, may i know what bugs that you mentioned before ? i use ap set from directd, not even local set from malaysia and the phone perform well in facebook/ take photo / whatsapp/call / sms/email / play store download almost all apps can load , i only failed at asphalt 8. laugh.gif

that time i bought my ap set for over 1k and i already feel that price is worth every single cent you pay...and now drop to 769 so more..i just cant think any phone currently that have better price/performance ratio right now.

are you at klang valley? is yes then the nearest service center is at pj

Put +6 into your ALL your contact number. If your number does not begin with +60 (country code), that problem that you mention will appear. Note that when contact name appear when receiving sms, that means that number in your contact has already have +60 in front.

Rm 25 for 1 or RM 50 for 2 correct, BUT u need to pay RM 15 for shipment BECAUSE any purchase below RM 70 require to pay RM 15 SHIPMENT.

So buy 1 cost RM 25 + RM 15 = RM 40, Buy 2 cost RM 25 X 2 = RM 50 + RM 15 = RM 65 (So divided by 2) RM 32.50, if sell to you at RM 30 mean lost RM 2.50

Ada paham ?

Anyway i have nothing to sell to you, just show u the calculation.
*
i asked if someone willing to let go his pb coz i knew there's a people bought hp + pb but they dun wan the pb
just wanna sell it for suka-suka
who told u to buy 2 units pb only ? for sure kena shipping fee maaa...

Ada paham ?
