this is already something each of us are aware of when we decide to get this phone. Doesnt matter if China version or international version as OPO is not officially released in any SEA countries.

And I dont think retailer repair themself. They send the whole phone back to China  tongue.gif.

I am curious though, is there a teardown for oppo find 7a? Do they share similar parts?
*
Yes, because the retailer is also a buyer, they are not a repair shop. If there is anything wrong the phone will be sent back for a replacement. Normal waiting time is +/- 2 weeks ie. 1 week to send back, another week for them to send it here.

Not true, most gadget kaki also buy and sell and change phones every month, of course they care otherwise the phones will have no 2nd hand value. Unless the price difference is so great like 50% discount it makes it worthwhile to order online.

Btw, Paranoid Android 4.4.4 is running very stable so far compared to CM11s. Has Hover notification which is something extra from CM11. CM11s has some random reboot issues similar to what has been reported online.

At the moment only via online, try opposhop or ebay, a lot of it,
at malaysia if you go to even big shop at lowyat and ask for opo casing shopper will look at your face once your show them the phone as if the ohone is chicken chop phone and the moment you tell them its from china they will said no casing and they only sell korea phone casing, only true hardcore geek know about opo, normal seller they only know samsung and now everybody want lenovo whistling.gif

what is the point of getting OPO when it's expensive?

the main point for OPO is cheaper phones, if you pay the expensive price, then it kinda defeat the purpose, no?

I'd just choose a Find 7a for the price. Or Find 7 for better specs. laugh.gif

There is a SP seller over at the garage sales.

For case, try Ali Express. Amazon does sell but a lot of time, they dun ship to malaysia address.

But the Find7 has the drawback of having 4Gbs of usable app space only. Tinkering with the rom isn't a viable idea even though one would know how to root/flash. It's an added hassle in the long run IMO. hmm.gif

head over to lelong. there is a flip window case and also a Aixuan hard case.

honestly, both design look a bit childish but i'm getting the Aixuan until more seller with more choice come online.

agreed. if going to end up paying premium price, might as well look at phones like s5, HTC One, etc...

i'm sticking to my guns and holding out till i get a good deal. <-- ironic to see TS/ OP without the phone yet... *sigh*

QUOTE(alexanderclz @ Jul 5 2014, 02:00 PM)
while the price is inflated here, for rm1239, it still has one of the best hardware at that price. not to mention the limited stock and all
*
yes, its good value if its at the original selling price. but after being inflated, the "attractiveness" (due to price) is no longer there. if its going to be around the same price as other flagships, might as well consider others as well...
