this is already something each of us are aware of when we decide to get this phone. Doesnt matter if China version or international version as OPO is not officially released in any SEA countries.
And I dont think retailer repair themself. They send the whole phone back to China .
I am curious though, is there a teardown for oppo find 7a? Do they share similar parts?
Can't read Chinese but you can compare them yourselves. They may be similar but I'm sure being interchangeable in internal parts is difficult.
I'd just choose a Find 7a for the price. Or Find 7 for better specs.
But the Find7 has the drawback of having 4Gbs of usable app space only. Tinkering with the rom isn't a viable idea even though one would know how to root/flash. It's an added hassle in the long run IMO.
Root cause: i suspect its Google apps/service i disabled. I disable apps that i dun use at all (to avoid the update notice). i disable Google Play Music, Play books, Play Newstand, Play Games & Google+. Gallery decide to stop working. I have enable all and Gallery is fine now. Next, super scientific deduction method to see which of the apps is the culprit.
p.s. apasal i feel like i am talking to myself here?
I think people are actually reading. I think Greenify the unused apps is a better idea.
DirectD latest 16gb RM1199. 64gb RM1499. Price dropped so fast.
Took me by surprise really.

Excellent Well as expected.. Last time Xiaomi Mi3 also RM1200+ now RM700+, HTC M8 RM2500 now RM1900+, LG G3 2600 now RM1900+ all within a few weeks. Mi3 took few months to drop so much. Do note you're buying technology that goes outdated the moment you buy them so it always go down in price, you are not buying property or gold.
+1
I have another month to go and if it goes down by 10% or more that would hit the sweet spot for me though I think at this price, it's reasonable enough (64GB). Too many similarly performing devices these days it's hard to choose. Small details is all that matters. I'd be mulling over N5 or this for the past month and I think it's a wiser choice to get OPO due to lesser drawbacks. It's about time for me to retire my Gnex amidst the failing battery, performance and hairline screen crack too.
I'm using similar aluminium bumper on my N5, awesome looking for those like stock look of phone. Once I bought this, I just leave my Slim Armor case in drawer Just beware it will affect radio signal by little, so if your home or office always had weak signal, think twice
Harder substance (metal) on a hard substance (plastic/metal composite frame) won't increase the break-ability of the glass? or is it absorbed by the whole metal bumper frame? Haven't see such drop tests from these cases.
Anyone know where I can get good inear headphones for this phone? I remeber finding a good local website selling such stuff but I can't manage to find it again
Any good recomendations?
Just search Jaben. They have physical stores and an online store too. Vast selections for casual listeners up till audiophile levels.
The fact i spent almost 1.5k on this so called flagship so i cried a bit. But afterall nothing isperfect, have tobdeal with it.
A few pages back somebody posted a video on how to eliminate it. Put under sunlight for an hour or soak it up with UV rays from some manicure shop curing or some sort.
