QUOTE(a-hp @ May 7 2015, 08:05 PM) Anybody with "moving" driver seat. Mine being like that for a month now. Everytime hit a speed bump or sudden breaking, it's gonna move slightly. Plan to get the SC check & rectify the situation. Just wondering if anybody has gone through this situation and what would the SC do. Im having the situation as yours. I complained when send my car for service and they said to come another time since it will take 2 to 3 days. they have to dismantle the seat and check. . yet to fix appointment with them.

What do you think happened actually? Broken? Faulty by design? Or what? I've been driving since 1992, this is the first time I encounter a "moving-with-a-click-sound" driver seat in any car that I've ever driven. Funny. ..

Coolant temp must be a steady 90 deg. as this is the engine normal operating temp, no matter what the ambient temp. Any thing outside normal operating temperature, higher or lower, will trigger an ECU response to get the temp back to 90deg. Thus it is possible to see a fluctuating coolant temp. due to ECU response to correct the effect. This is a symptom of defective coolant temp.sensor. SC will tell you not to worry cos the indication has not gone to high ( red zone). Not true, it is not normal, and will trigger the ECU to command corrective measures continuously, which will affect the engine on the long run. If the coolant temp. is not steady 90deg,for all engine operation, have temp.sensor changed!

QUOTE(syafiq87 @ May 11 2015, 11:50 AM) thnx bro....will follow ur advise... Don't worry bro, 41 is normal. The coolant temp I suggest you do a quick check to make sure they're at the right level. Perhaps consider monitoring the decrease in coolant levels for leaks (if any). The needle should not go over 90. Haven't had my car for long time but I'm frequently in bad traffic jams and on the highway, I really REALLY make my pug fly. Some cars do go up slightly higher so generally don't need to worry TOO much. If it's a very small increase or a slow increase, usually minor issue. If the needle spikes very quickly, then you have a big problem.. To everyone else: the 408T supposedly has electronically limited top speed of 215km/h right? has anyone hit this speed or gone beyond? This post has been edited by speed.demon: May 11 2015, 06:56 PM

Just a friendly advice:
If need to change battery, ask for DIN 66. The battery shop will know what it is.
Original battery on our Lion is DIN 55. As you all know our Lion tends to eat up battery. The fact is not only our Lion, most modern cars due to the high level of electronics! BMW uses much higher capacity battery, and few other contis too!
DIN66 will give roughly 30% more life than the original, and it fits very well into 408's battery housing. Got 2 years out of my last battery, DIN55. Hopefully will get 3 years on this DIN 66! Whatever life you are getting on your present battery, you'll get 30% more on DIN66!

Hi bro.. had hit this speed thrice.. running on Ron 97, the car feels that it could do more.. but once above 200.. its feels a bit floaty and brakes are good but steers to the left..last time when i reached this speed, i felt heat coming frm the brake and accelerator pedal, and could smell something being burnt... stopped at rnr and found that it was coming from left side of the engine bay.. as though as a burnt clutch plate or something... drove bck to house and let the car ran idle for good 3 to 4 minutes and checked the car again the next morning.. smell has gone.. refer the issue to HQ service centre.. they said the smell coming from the heat shield from the turbo... mmmmm... strange... any1 having this issue?? Plus i also experience vapour at windshield..inside the cabin from both driver and passanger side whenever i go for a carwash.. their diagnosis was, the heat from engine bay reacting with cold water causing this vapour... mmmm... is it true??? Any1 having this issues???.. adding to that, the third brake light cover had gone loose and came off... found that the bracket holding the cover has broken they actually taped the covers to make it stick.. took it to our SC in glenmarie and they said that have replaced the cover and now can hear rattling sound coming from 3rd brake light again....wow... Their workmanship when replace third brake lights is terrible, mine after replacement didn't attach the cover properly, so back home have to reattach it myself.. Also glenmarie..

new 408 ? Very happy to know that. I test-drove new 308, impressive. Even the signal sound is very interesting. But new 408 will make 'old' 408 drop in value. BTW, off topic a little bit... If you happen to be living in Shah Alam or Damansara or Klang Valley, you may want to support DASH highway. Sign the petition at Petition To Support DASH HighwayIf you don't like the highway, it is OK. It is your right too.
