isnt maybank2cards now the same as your UOB Vox & One? smile.gif
why mbb doesnt allow combined payment for 2 cards is because of (probably) payment allocation.

imagine this:

Amex: RM150 outstanding
Visa: RM75 outstanding.
if both combined, and I pay RM70, how does the system know which card you're paying for?

If i pay RM100, which card am i paying for? if set to offset Visa first, then the excess RM25 goes to Visa or auto to Amex?

now, expand this problem for IBG/cheque payment from 3rd party banks.
this is why each card has its own card number to uniquely identify itself.

treat it as this:

Customer account = you, based on NRIC or other IDs <-- parent account

Card numbers = sub-account for the products (visa/mc/amex) that MBB "resell" to you. <-- child account
*
yes, but don't really get the relevancy behind tie both visa and amex together. since we are forced to pay service tax for 2 cards now, shouldn't we be given the option to cancel either one? i could replace the visa with something else that would be more rewarding hmm.gif

just my 2cents

comparing to mbb2cards *now* vs when it was launched back in 2011 is surely different.

mbb2cards USP (“2 is all you need”), market competition, latest offerings, rules & regulations already changed between 2011 -> 2014 smile.gif

and since Maybank took over Amex card operation in Malaysia back in 2006, mbb2cards really make sense to spur amex acceptance, adoption, and usage smile.gif

yes, ever since mbb charged RM50 per card for mbb2cards (pressured by BNM? competitor banks complained to BNM?), this combo product doesnt make sense anymore.

hard-bundled cards have its advantages and disadvantages. soft-bundling is better (i.e. able to cancel either card) but will lose the 'stickiness' sweat.gif

Not sure recently the bank will charge or not, but that time I went was last year if no mistaken.

You request for replacement recently and have been charge by bank?

Maybe I can ask the detail from staff during visit them as planning regarding redemption of GST

If card broken due the user false, then bank will charge, but if its due to the faulty card, then they will replace it FOC.
So, it will depend on how you report to replace the card. Luckily, in my case, the CS kind enough to explain that to me.

In my case, I'm not reporting the damage card. I report to them that some merchant can read the card, while some cannot. So, don't know what wrong with the card icon_rolleyes.gif

I am the principal and my wife has supplementary. I can see her transactions in my M2U and so can she on her own M2U.
If you are the principal, you can go to the branch and ask them to link the supplementary to you.

edit: In M2U, under account details, look at the bottom right. Should be a link that says "View supplementary cards".

Yes, eligibility based on transaction date but receiving cash rebate is based on posting date.

Transaction date determines your eligibiltiy for cash rebate.
Posting date is only important if it on the last day of the month. For e.g. this month's 31st will fall on Sunday, so if you swipe on Sunday and merchant only posts on Monday; you will still get your 5% rebate but it will be part of your September's rebate and will not be calculated in August rebate.

Hope this clarifies.
