I'm looking for an IPS monitor (23-24") and I've narrowed my choices down to:-
1) Dell U2412M
2) Dell P2414H
3) Dell U2414H (need a DVI-HDMI adaptor as my GC only has a DVI output)

From what I read, the P2414H & U2414H uses the same panel so the image quality should be the same? Does anyone know if there is a significant difference between the "U" & "P" to justify the price difference?

At the moment, I'm leaning towards to P2414H as it is cheaper and uses a newer IPS panel as compared to the U2412M and it's cheaper too.

Looking for a 2nd opinion before I make my decision smile.gif

both are same panel afaik, E-IPS hmm.gif (U2412M to P24)

U2414H however, uses AH-IPS panel

U2412M is more expensive as its a 16:10 monitor

the P is 16:9

thats just you nit picking at best. those ICC profiles are from calibrated results laugh.gif

im using U25 and U2312H, all using ICC profiles from TFTCentral. so far both have been great

U25 stock was abit too blue, the ICC fixed it to a more warm expression

I've been hunting for a strictly 1080p monitor for my ps4 for a while now. Can't seem to find the u2312hm anywhere! even a used unit, can't seem to get a good price or I'm late to the party and it's already sold.

My option to match my dual u2412m in portrait right now is either to get a used u2312hm or the overpriced (to me), the p2314h.

For the mean time, I'm still waiting for a good used u2312hm to pop up on garage sales. blush.gif

Here's my plan moving forward.

Just a rough sketch, but you get the idea.
Attached Image

Hopefully, I can complete everything by the end of 3rd quarter of this year.

Not planning to jump ship to 1440p anytime soon. I'll let 4k to settle down first and I'll jump to that one instead.

To me, 40" 4k is the sweet spot as the pixel pitch is roughly the same as a 27" 1440p monitor.

Thanks for your feedback. I think I'll get the P2414H cause it's more value for money smile.gif

Want to know something from you, the monitor you get, its U2713HM? Hows the gaming performance? can you feel the input lag or something? What games are you playing now?
RM2099 is still a bit too much for me. haiz. Currently aiming second hand/refurbished 2713HM.
