I thought if under COMPUTER will be tax-free?
as recently i imported few items from Korea to MY, 2 item listed under Electronic = taxed.
but another item under COMPUTER = xda import duty.

as i asked my counterpart to use DHL, i checked with DHL first prior delivery whether these item will kena taxed or not or require SIRIM permit (kns betul...)

correct me if i'm wrong

wow. wonder how much it will be? as the LG 34 ultra wide is just below RM3k which is my next target.
i'm glad these Ultra Wide have 1440 on Vertical the reason i skip U2913WM and get U2713hm instead.

Wta, is monitor a part of computer component? If yes, it should not subject to custom duty/ import tax, correct?

Asking this as I plan to carry back LG 34um95 from South Korea.
Saw from lg fb that they wont carry in lg 34um65. Hence I think um95 should not be available to us as well.

I'll ask dhl for the tariff code on monday. Hope it will be under PC.

i got mine at ALL IT @ RM17xx/RM1850 - somewhere around here. 5 yrs warranty as well. (half year+ ago)

IPS Matte coating/surface? thats y i always opt for matte surface instead of glossy due to my room lightning condition.
went to viewnet at lyp yesterday and saw a samsung 27" curve FHD screen....nvr knew it exist for this size...thought it mostly for big tv size screen.
but the 4k samsung is really attractive and nice to look to

you are correct. That LG is not sold in malaysia. during its launch, i asked LG FB m'sia and said they are not bringing in. the only way is to get it from the net.

GST 6% surely will got. the import tax mayb dont have. my HQ just sent a HP Workstation (without monitor), and didnt kena import tax.
HS Code used is 8523-29-122 as per custom tariff website.

its plug and play. and the DVI Max reso can support up to 2560x1600 which is above 2560x1440.
also, by using DP, i believe it can drive 4k monitor as well.

Its a boring new year and hence i look into OC monitor thingy which is kinda interesting. End result, OC my dell u2713hm to 72hertz and i muz say the gaming on this 72hertz is a very much enjoyable ride for more fluent and smoothness - mad max @ high @ 72hertz
if lord permits me, hope i can test trial on what gaming at 144hz is like...

i have dell u2713hm. got a few ants on my table here and there but never inside my monitor...
that one is really design flaw.

another thing can do to avoid ants : avoid eating food on your pc table or get anti-ants powder
