So guys, anyone with figure orders online having issues lately?
A mutual friend of mine already having problems with kastam - his figure from amiami was deported back to Japan for being too sexy - and it's only wearing swimsuit/lingerie, not even nude. Even Max Factory Momo Bride is also haram now =.=

I seriously dunno if my Alter Maki Nishikino, a completely innocent figure, will be affected, a May release with potential delays, but im expecting this tough act by customs to be something only temporary due to the news. In worst case scenario, if deported, i will pay a 2nd round of shipping cost and have it shipped to a friend in Singapore, and pick it up months later from him.... Cheebye leh

I think I might have a problem with customs as well. Sigh. First time kena.

Send to Office usually means passed already lol.
Every single of of my previous trackings for all of my purchases always give that result after Customs Inspections procedure. The parcels were never opened at all. What figure was that?

Anyway, i emailed The Star newspaper an article/memo on the figure topic, and it is now up to them to publish it in the opinion/views section or not. If they are actually fair instead of being biased, and accepts all kinds of opinions, they should publish it, at least in their site. It will take at least several days since they get lots of submissions. The best would be the article appearing on the newspaper, the opinions section.

This figure of mine, amiami also, passed kastam easily leh That was before Metroll struck of course.

Yup, 1 friend his parcel with 2 figures, momo bride, and skytube Iris, is deported back to Japan. But so far i only heard 1 case only lah, maybe there are more.

Just the figure got deported is a good news within bad news
Last year there's a person's Max Factory 1/7 Sheryl Nome not only got confiscated, he was fined for bringing in porn related goods

I want this figure badly, hopefully i manage to buy one in 2 weeks time based on my budget, before people snatched it up. =( Damn expensive now.

As u can see the figure is covered up, but i think i will email the seller to tape something over the illustration on the front to cover it. I'm going to give it a shot. The seller does offer refunds over any untoward incidents or damages when i glanced through their policies, so i'll give it a shot.

though my sinon figure from amiami kena tahan at custom for quite sometime....begining to suspect they are taking it seriously...

Every box i shipped in from amiami had a customs stamp, a red one on the box. They were not opened though. I think i still want to try my luck with that sonsaku hakufu negate the figure is covered in the chest area in box. It's just the illustrations on the box lah...

I had way more revealing figures passing customs easily so my guess it's just luck, nothing else.
In my post earlier, i do want that sonsaku badly, her chest seems to be covered up so i think her boob won't apoear in xray scans. But i wonder, whether the illustration in the box will be visible on the scan? If Dragon toy designed the box like that i think it means it won't be visible as xrays are not photos, they are an image showing the shape and look of an object inside a box. I do think it can pass customs easily. With that boob covered she is just wearing a torn uniform and skirt. The pose is more of, generic.

Initially I thought the custom checking will work like: 1. open the parcel box 2. tear apart your box wrapping 3: eye-scan the outer figure box and the inner figure...
If in this case there will be no escape for the hmm.... kind of revealing artwork that printed in every aspect of the box...

No, the parcels are never opened unless the contents raise their suspicions. I had 1 package from amazon USA opened before because they are books inside, they are tough on books (you know, porn mags, anti-religion books, etc), because in xray you can see they are books, but you cant see the cover and the title. It was my college-use textbook. If you have taken flights before and have your bags scanned, it's the same exact way they inspect the contents of parcels. If they are suspicious enough to open it then sure gg.
