QUOTE(winkiedilwy @ May 20 2014, 05:24 PM) same here. i got a call to upgrade from 5mbps to 10mbps for RM179. for me it was worth it but for my parents, it's rather useless since they're very low usage. should I? was thinking of getting a unifi-capable router at the same time. every time feel like throwing mine from the roof. Unifi best in my residential area. No complain after using for 2 years. contract reset 2 years then reset loh. maybe will stick to unifi forever, unless got better alternative. I think I called once or twice for technical support in the past 2 years contract. |

Hey, anybody experience being redirected to MIDAS advertising page when using Firefox 29's address bar to google things?
I just reformatted my pc and when I install Firefox 29 I noticed this. Tried reinstall FF several times, still the same. No such problem with Chrome. I google this MIDAS and found this - http://midas.nervesis.com/#services Apparently this is a collaboration with TM. So.. our f***er ISP is redirecting our google searches to advertising now? I tried Firefox 28 and didn't have this problem. So.. is it FF 29's fault or TM's fault? |

Using OpenWRT on my DIR825. I tried to setup the IPTV and bridge it with wireless interface. I set the vlan to 600 and tagged on WAN port. I bridge this vlan with the wireless interface. On the STB i set to connect via wifi. On the
"Network Diagnostic Tool" page, i can see all the ip address (not my local 192 IP but starting from 10.29.x.x), and other info like gateway address n active dns ip. Access mode set to dhcp. The test is all pass. When i go into hypptv i manage to see the Guide and the tv channel name n what is playing. But I cannot see the content itself and there is a picture of a satelite dish with a small X on it. Any idea what setting I got wrong? |

1) Lan 1 (connected to WIFI router) 2) Internet - Blink once and then both gone at the same time. 3) Repeat 1 & 2 It's been like that for the past 14 hours. Any help? Looking at my router's log, this is what it is, countless of PPPoE: Sending PADI for session1 This post has been edited by SurpriseZZZZZ: May 21 2014, 10:12 AM |

Dear Unifi users, as i concern when following from thread 17 until current thread, some people mention that the usb port on unifi router can be used for charge handpnone, connect external hdd and can do printer sharing thing. My question is, why my L7 router's usb port cannot be used although the router's signal is strong for me.?

QUOTE(aneip @ May 21 2014, 04:01 PM) lol. i ask do the usb is usable. Most of the forumers says the signal of L7 is weak. But with its 5dBi antena is strong for me and i can get 5 full bar although i live on 3 story house. The modem is at hall (first floor) and my room at 3rd floor. The question is, when i connect my external hardisk or usb cable to charge my hp, why cant the port works? means there is no respons when i connect my ext hdd and us cable to charge my hp. |

Or can tell them straightforward to apply rm179 package... the RM 179 package was offered to me via TM telemarketing team. so there was no question on why i didnt take the 199 plan. the 179 plan is not offered via normal sellers/agents/tm points i think. only some ppl will get the offer. This post has been edited by eddybane: May 21 2014, 09:49 PM |
