Hey guys,

My friend wants to buy a gaming rig. Kindly suggest based on details below.

[Budget] RM 1.7k

[Purpose] Games

[Hardwares that will be re-use] Monitor, Speaker, Keyboard, Mouse

[Games & softwares that use frequently] Hitman Absolution

[Personal preferences] Need USB WIFI too. Also, my friend prefers AMD. But could you also suggest an intel rig for comparison and which would be better in this case?

[Location] Lowyat

Thanks!

Going AMD for gaming is a bad call these days. How about these?

Core i5-4460 - RM569
MSI H81M-P33 motherboard - RM189
Kingston 4GB DDR3-1600 x1 - RM129
Leadtek GTX750 1GB DDR5 - RM429 (from C-Zone)
WD Blue 1TB hard disk - RM174
DVD writer of your choice- RM59
Antec VP400 power supply - RM109
Gigabyte GZ series case - RM69

RM1727 total

Optional:
Leadtek GTX750 Ti 2GB DDR5 OC - +RM100 (RM529 from C-Zone)

Viewsonic is nice. If possible, I suggest you audit them personally and compare which suits your eye the most. smile.gif

Dell is glossy. If you don't prefer glossy, can go with the AOC monitor instead.

Got a few others as well from Viewsonic or LG. Up to you.

I personally prefer Dell due to the warranty support.

Seems this monitor have some issues like not able to display back the screen when coming back from sleep mode and not displaying full color range through Display Port connection? Is it still OK to buy it?

have u seen Dell S series glossy screens? for me they are damn nice.
yesterday i go around lowyat plaza choosing monitors, LG just looks too bulky, BenQ overpriced, Samsung too plain, Phillips on par with AOC but more pricey. AOC and Dell are the only good ones.
i just bought Dell S2340L rm540 at viewnet lowyat plaza lvl3. free hdmi cable 1.8m

price between 22" to 23" is around rm60, but price from 23" to 24" is around rm120.. 23" just feels more worth it to buy.
