Ahh, then the Xeon would fit for your budget nicely. It's still an i7 without IGPU and 0.1GHz slower.
Here's my suggestion.

Proc - Xeon 1230V3 RM 799
Mobo - Asrock B85 Killer RM 299
GPU - MSI R9 290 Gaming Edition RM 1649
RAM - 2 x 8 GB Value RAM RM 458
PSU - Seasonic M12 620 RM 359
SSD - Plextor M5S 128GB RM 289
HDD - 1TB WD Blue RM 189
Casing - Corsair Carbide 300R RM 299
ODD - LiteOn DVDRW RM 59

All for RM 4,400. Prices from Viewnet. But it seems that you want to OC it. OC don't need water cooler unless you want to push the very max. If it's just a simple OC the Scythe Asura is good enough.

Here's an OC'able rig suggestion.

Proc - i7-4770k RM 1089
Mobo - Asrock Z87 Extreme 4 RM 539
GPU - Gainward GTX 770 Phantom RM 1185 [ Lingloong ]
HDD - 1TB WD Blue RM 189
SSD - Plextor M5S 128GB RM 289
PSU - Seasonic M12 620 RM 359
RAM - 2 x 8GB Value RAM RM 458
Casing - Corsair Carbide 200R RM 229
ODD - LiteOn DVDRW RM 59
Cooler - Scythe Asura RM 179 [ IdealTech ]

All for RM 4,575. Prices from Viewnet cept GPU and Cooler from per said.

PS - The R9 290 is on par with 780 fyi. The 1st build more onto gaming power brows.gif Many RAM cause you're using Adobe. From what I've been on the web for some time I've learned that most of Adobe utilize RAM capacity.

Because it's still the same. It's only have the "K" which mean it can be OC. Xeon cannot OC. The Xeon, i7-4770, and the K variant are the same in terms of cores and thread but different in terms of GHz. Xeon 3.3 GHz and can boost to 3.7 GHz. i7 non K 3.4 GHz and can boost to 3.9 GHz. K is 3.5 GHz boost to 3.9 GHz and beyond by OC'ing. The i7 has integrated graphics while the Xeon has none and relies on the GPU as output to monitor. Since you want to game on it that's why I recommend the Xeon. Cheaper but in terms of speed more or less the same.

Hasn't it always been copy and paste? Haha.

Nah don't think so. Budgets of often vary a lot, coupled with different usages. It's better to recommend based on their wants and needs in the thread.

That I can't just give a number. OC is like more onto luck from what I've heard. You got the number you got the speed. But maybe around 4.0 - 4.5 GHz? I don't know. Sentinel92 you own this proc. Care to elaborate brows.gif

There is no sweet spot. It all depends on silicon lottery. Most can reach 4.2-4.3GHz without much hassle. Some goes up to 4.5-4.7Ghz with careful voltage management and proper cooling. Rare golden chips hit 5GHz. You'll only know how far your chip can go if you spend the whole day tinkering with it.

But truth to be told, it does nuts for gaming. If you want high powered OC computing, get a X79 based system with a cheaper GPU. Otherwise, clocking the 4770K to 4.2Ghz is enough.

Why do you need 4.2GHz for 24/7 for ? Yes it can, but you definitely need a powerful AIO to keep it frosty.

I suggest you build your rig around the Intel Core i7-4930K. OC like hell with six cores to play with, if you need CPU power that much.
