QUOTE(rav3n82 @ Jun 2 2014, 10:34 AM) Promotion price, probably stock clearance too. Do note that it comes with only 1 year warranty compared to the standard 2 years that Powercolor offers. Hmm need opinions...should i get it?Im surveying pc components to build a new pc from scratch. Cant wait for Broadwell cpu..too late |

QUOTE(Zgames @ Jul 12 2014, 05:25 AM) If you want to do overclocking yes the G3258 is good. To me both of the 280X and 770 are on par with each other. If you like to play games that uses the Nvidia Gameworks e:g Upcoming Assassin's Creed title then the way to go is Nvidia. I think AMD has upper advantage on Far Cry as per usual. what's the downside and upside of G3258? let's say i overclocked it, will it perform better than the current i5-4460 for example? |

QUOTE(hazard_puppet @ Jul 13 2014, 12:12 AM) yep. i was cursing the shop we bought the components from. and 1 more thing, Dell monitors(S series especially) only come together with vga cable. they should at least provide a dvi cable inside the packaging box. i mean the monitors are advertised as Full-HD monitors arent they? what's the vga cable for? lol.. i ended up having to go back to the shop and ask for a hdmi cable. luckily they dont charge for that cable. *just a reminder to people buying Dell monitors and CM chasis. still relevant to this thread i think. |

QUOTE(Human10 @ Jul 17 2014, 03:54 AM) IINM, not all chip can OC over 4.5ghz, it all back down to your luck. So, don't hold your hope too high up first, and good luck for you. i see.As suggested, above, you also need a 3rd party cooler for OC. CM 812 cost around RM120+ should do the job good enough. Cut down a little budget from the RAM by going value RAM if you feel it is necessary. Although what we normally recommend is to get a good PSU, your PSU seems a little too good and overbudget for your rig (infact the whole system of G3258 with GTX750TI most probably won't even breach 300W, or even 250W). Corsair Value Ram 4GB DDR3 1600MHz RM119 FSP Hexa 500W PSU - RM149 CM 812 cost around RM120 if change to these 3 with GTX 750TI GS, the overall price is RM2180... let's say i take this gpu : Zotac GTX770 2GB DDR5 256BIT (ZT-70301-10P) - RM1119 the fsp hexa 500w psu is not enough? also, does the cooler CM 812 compatible with lga 1150 boards? looking from a review on youtube, lga 1150 is not written on the box. QUOTE(rav3n82 @ Jul 17 2014, 06:43 AM) I would recommend minimum 600W for the GTX 770, as it is the official minimum recommendation. then even Antec 550w Platinum is not enough for gtx 770? From the website's specification, yes it is compatible with LGA 1150 boards. i was hoping to reduce cost by going for fsp hexa 500w... but.. looking from this website , it says for gtx 770, the score(out of 10), with Antec 550w platinum is 8, while FSP Hexa 500w is 7.9... QUOTE(rav3n82 @ Jul 17 2014, 07:25 AM) Usually, manufacturer will tend to recommend something with a little buffer, so that those less informed will not pair with a cap ayam 500W. ok, got it.Yes, the Antec VP-550 (I believe you're referring to this model) is definitely better than FSP Hexa 500W. btw im referring to the RM299 in below pic. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « it's different than VP550. the EA-550 Platinum is better i guess with 85% efficiency compared to VP550P with 82% efficiency. i cant even find VP550P in the garage sales anymore. QUOTE(Clem1982 @ Jul 17 2014, 10:22 AM) Well you can opt for the FSP Raider 650W @ RM269 actually this is very good already.. else can also opt for the Seasonic S12II 620W @ RM299 CM TPC 812 is this one right? btw this is promotion for return customer only...and about the cooler, the CM TPC 812 not too sure if can get at RM120...usually above RM200++ I know the CM Hyper 212X is at about RM130 though so opt for this and you're good to go so... it's 0.1 more compatible... I still think getting the headroom is better... since you're gonna OC anyway » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « i've seen feiton's lelong profile and it's stated there he is selling it at RM120 -->Link This post has been edited by jakuraz: Jul 17 2014, 11:49 AM |

QUOTE(rav3n82 @ Jul 21 2014, 10:16 AM) Of course, why wouldn't it not fit? "Special price" means more expensive right? Lol.If not mistaken, the 800 series release is sometime end of this year. So hopefully you can wait that long. And be prepared for early adopter's "special price". Do u think after 800 series released, gtx770 price will go down a lot? Im quite worried to buy a desktop right now.. |

QUOTE(Clem1982 @ Aug 6 2014, 10:55 AM) the GPU already has a cooler on in... or are you referring to the CPU stock cooler?? in any case, no need to worry as the stock cooler should be enough since you're not able to OC it Oh ok. Haha im just borrowing the reply since the spec i plan is similar.yes chassis choice is important for airflow, but I thought you're re-using your own chassis? |
