Hey guys,
Do you know in Malaysia, one of the greatest revival happened in our own nation, Sarawak?
It happened during the 80's.
It's a long read but it's worth the encouragement.

The Sign/Wonders/Miracles In Ba Kelalan 1984 – 1986
These signs/wonders/miracles record
ed according to their chronological
occurrences.
1. Pa Agung’s First Vision from God
Pa Agong Bangau’s first vision was that of himself being naked. God
revealed to him that his nakedness was caused by his sins.
Gripped by this revelation, Pa Agong decided to confess his sins before the
whole church – after submitting the vision to the church elders and
receiving their blessings to do so, of course.
After confessing his sins the first time, God showed him a vision of himself
again. This time, he was wearing pants but was naked from waist up.
Pa Agong thought to himself, “This vision must mean that there must still be
sins that I forgot to confess before
the whole church.” And he obediently
confessed his sins for the second time on the pulpit.
God gave him a third vision where he was finally fully dressed in a shirt and
pants. Only then was God able to
use Pa Agong mightily and gave him
many spiritual gifts.
Now Pa Agong was a simple man. Ev
en his school teacher predicted that
the boy will amount to nothing much for he showed no great promise
intellectually. But God uses the simple to accomplish His purposes. And
Pa Agong has proven that he was quick to obey God’s commands even
though it may be inconvenient and embarrassing to him. And to God,
obedience is definitely better than sacrifice.
2. Prayer at Buduk Tudal – The Vision of the Uniform
Date: 19 September 1984
The plan of God to transform Mount Murud to a Prayer Mountain was
revealed as early as 1974 in a prophecy. On 19 September 1984, Pa
Agong went to pray and fast overnight
at Buduk Tudal (Tudal Hill). As he
prayed, he saw a vision of a group of angels singing. They were all
dressed in the following uniform:
• White shirt
• Yellow pants
• Red, white and yellow striped belt
• White and yellow cap that had a star symbol
• White shoes
White represents the Holy Spirit and
God’s holiness, red represents the
blood of Jesus on the cross and yellow represents the power of the
everlasting God in the lives of His people.
They were singing with harmonious and beautiful voices. God told Pa
Agong to sing along with them.
“I can’t. I don’t know who to sing the song,” said Pa Agong.
“You have to sing the song,” God told
Pa Agong. “As you go to Mount
Murud for the prayer meeting, you ar
e going to be dressed in the same
uniform and this is the song you are going to sing. As you do both things, I
will give you signs and wonders on the mountain.”
Pa Agong obeyed God and sang along with the angels. God also
requested the people to come and pray at Buduk Tudal. From then
onwards, the miraculous events kept on unfolding.
3. The Miracles of Rice and Water turning to Flour and Cooking
Oil and Sugar
Date : 20 September 1984
Place : Buduk Tudal, Ba Kelalan.
No. of people in attendance : 37 people
Buduk Tudal, meaning “Bald Peak
” is a mountain peak about 3500
feet above sea level situated bett
heyen Buduk Nur village and Puneng
Kelalan. The trees here are stunted
with lots of undergrowth. About 45
minutes walk from Buduk Nur, this
peak was once frequented by Pa Agong
Bangau who would spend many long hours with his Lord.
On the night of 19th September 1984 during a house prayer
meeting held at Ibu Maria Gugkang’s home, Pa Agong told the members
present ( about 10 in all) to be ready – for tomorrow they would witness a
sign, a miracle from God. He gave precis
e instructions as to what they were
to carry up the mountain tomorrow morning. As soon as the prayer meeting
was over that night (about midnight) he walked up to this mountain peak
alone. By 7.00am the next morning, he arrived home.
Words about the prophecy spread around in the village very fast,
and many who heard it became very
excited. Although about 10 people
were in the meeting last night, the wo
rd got around and 37 people theynt up
the mountain the next morning.
These were the items he instructed them to carry up the mountain;
• 3 milkmaid tins filled with about 1 inch (3cm) of boiled water, carried
by Neng Sigar,
• 1 empty biscuit tin filled with about 1 inch of boiled water at the
base carried by Marta Aram.
• About 770g ( 2 milkmaid tins) of rice grain brought by Runguh Arun
and Dorkas Sigar.
• 1 Sun Valley bottle (1 litre) containing boiled water, filled to the brim,
carried by Bulan Dawat.
• 2 pieces of thin polyhtene bags brought by Pa Agong himself.
• 1 wok carried by
By 9.00 am on 20th September 1984, everyone was ready to make
the trip up the mountain. Upon reaching the mountain peak, they sat in
circle with Pa Agong in the centre arranging and checking the items that
they brought. The rice was transferred
from the two milkmaid can into 2
empty polythene bags. These items were placed some 50 metres away
from where they were praying ex
cept for one milkmaid tin that
contained a little water, which was placed just about 15 metres away
from where they were gathering.
The prayer meeting that morning began with Pa Agong reading from
the Word of God. Then they started si
nging songs taught by the Holy Spirit.
Then they prayed and sang again.
While all these were going on, Pa Agong asked Ibu Maria
Gugkang and Sigar Tadam to go and check the milkmaid tin, which was
placed about 15 metres away, to s
ee if anything has happened to them.
Each time they came back to him and reported “Nothing has changed!”.
Then they prayed and sang again whil
e these two members shuttled
back and forth to see and report w
hat they had seen. “Nothing!” Pa
Agong told them to repent for the lack
of faith, which they all did. For
one last time, Maria and Sigar they
nt again. Still nothing. Maria then
placed the palm of her right hand over the milkmaid tin, covering it, at
the same time crying out to God.
“God, if this is of You, then let something happen.”
Suddenly she saw a cloud, red like blood descending upon the two
of them and right onto the milkmaid
tin. Her body, violently shaking,
Maria felt something on the palm of her hand. She looked. Behold,
fresh cooking oil oozed out bettheyen the fingers of her palm from
inside of the milkmaid tin. Amaz
ed, everyone shouted “ Praise the
Lord!”.
“Now, Sigar please take this to Pa Agong and the group !” Maria
told her partner.
“No ! I am not worthy to hold that.” Sigar refused, because he was
now so gripped by t
he fear of Yahtheyh.
Maria took the ‘miracle’ item to Pa Agong and the group. Pa Agong
examined it and told the rest, “Now go
and look at the rest of the items,
you will see that several miracles have occurred while they prayed.”
Everyone rushed to the other items
which were placed some 50 metres
away.
Indeed, before their very eyes, they
saw that miracles have indeed
took place. The milkmaid tin contai
ning a little water was now filled to
the brim with cooking oil, while the little water in the other milkmaid tin
turned to sugar and was also filled to the brim. The empty biscuit tin
that contained just about one inch
(3cm) of water at its base was now
filled to the brim with clear, clean water. The rice grain (375g ) in the
first polythene bag had turned to rice flour while the rice grain in the
second polythene bag turned to rice flour in the middle and surrounded
by wheat flour in the outer ring. The Sun Valley bottle, which contained
just a little water, was now filled with cooking oil.
They took all these items back to
their meeting place. They offered
more prayers and praises to the Almighty. Musa Sigar, the church elder,
who happened to bring a camera, took their photographs to record the
moment.
They descended the mountain
and found an open space. There
they made fire and baked the flour in
to local cakes. Everyone ate until
they were full. There was still plenty
left over after their meal and they
brought the leftover home.
That night a special service was
held in the church building at
Buduk Nur. About 200 people attend
ed the meeting. The remaining half
of the flour was baked into traditional rice cakes at the village and
shared amongst these 200 people, yet there were still plenty leftover. The next morning these were sent to the primary school pupils in the
next village for them to eat.
4. The sign of a Ball of Fire
Date : 9 April 1985
Place : Buduk Nur , Ba Kelalan
Attendance : Buduk Nur church members and LongLangai Church
members (about 200 people)
Events: On the morning of 9th April 1985, Pa Pa Agong Bangau told
the Pastor of Buduk Nur Church to inform all the women to assemble
on an open field outside of the church building in full uniform. They
were to be present on the field before 7.00pm that evening. It was
stressed that all of them ought to be present on the field on time, for
God would give a sign at 7.00pm that evening. Some of the women
responded with much excitement while others were indifferent. When
seven o’clock came, a ball of fire appeared over the eastern mountain
horizon. Not all the women were there on time. The ball of fire became
very bright. It moved sideways, then downwards behind the mountain
tops and then upwards again. But most of the time it stayed still until
gradually it dimmed and diminished from view at 9.30pm. This sign was
confirmation that the women’s uniform
were made according the God’s
specifications. Prior to this, when Pa Agong asked them to make a
common uniform for all the women, many doubted and were reluctant
to make and theyar them. That night God wanted to specially bless
them. But the disobedience, negligence and careless attitude on a few
of the women, the whole group was deprived from receiving fully God’s
special blessing that night.
Earlier in his report, Roland Satu stated that ‘the
rays brightened up
the
clouds
above and the mountain top below’.
A photograph was
taken at the moment the ball of
fire happened. When the photograph
was developed later there was no clo
ud. Instead, there were figures
resembling people in uniform holding and blowing sophars (trumpets)
and facing towards the east. At least two different photographs were
taken and both shotheyd the same thing.
5. The Second Ball of Fire Sign
Date : 9 May 1985
Place : Buduk Bui
Present ; Over 300 people. There were
people from all the villages in Ba
Kelalan.
Events: Throughout that t
heyek, three women from Lawas Mission
conducted a Christian Family course for all the women folk of Ba Kelalan.
By God’s perfect plan three Christian
brothers were on an outreach ministry
at Buduk Bui on that particular day. In the early afternoon a message was
brought in from Pa Pa Agong Bangau that the sign was prophesied to occur
at Buduk Bui that very evening. Peopl
e came from all the churches around
and at 7.00 pm the sign appeared on the eastern sky. It was a ball of fire a
kilometer or more away – it was twice
the size of a softball ball. For about
two hours or more the people watched until it disappeared. Then it
reappeared again about an hour later, for another hour or so. While
watching the sign a gentle breeze stheyp
t over us despite the stillness of
the night. This was follotheyd by
a single thunderous roar stheyeping
across the sky from the north to the sout
h. Many took for granted it was an
ordinary thunder roar; there were others, including a Singaporean brother
who did not think so. They thought it was more like the echo of a voice, a
very distinct murmur of words. But
one dared say what it exactly was. A
woman in the crowd had the gift of revelation. Through her, the Holy Spirit
of God revealed that the gradual dimi
nishing glow of the fire which had
become so faint and yet didn’t die off, speaks of the spiritual condition of
those present; that many are faint in their love, obedience, faith and service
of the Lord. God seeks to restore that spiritual condition and the people
were to respond accordingly. Pa Agong later on confirmed that revelation.
6. The Sign of the Birds
Date: 1 June 1985
Place: Bukit Abul
Present: Pa Agong
Not far from Lawas is Bukit Abul (Abul
Hill) where Pa Agong went to fast
and pray for two days. As he prayed, m
any kinds of birds in various shapes,
sizes and beautiful colours gathered around the trees near him. It was an
astoundingly beautiful sight. Every time he prayed, the birds will sing along
noisily.
Pa Agong asked the Lord,” What does th
is mean? Every time I pray, they
will make a loud noise.”
God answered, “People all over the world with different backgrounds and
races will hear about the revival in Ba
Kelalan. Many miracles will draw
them to Ba Kelalan to see the move of
the Holy Spirit. They will join you to
worship the Lord together. This is the meaning of the birds joining you in
prayer today.”
A few months later, the vision was fulfilled when people of various
backgrounds and ethnicities came from around the world to worship God
together with the locals of Ba Kelalan. Some of their lives were changed.
7. Angelic Appearance and Song
Date :25.5.85
Place :
Belingi Prayer Camp, Mt. Belingi,
Ba Kelalan
Present : About 360 people
Events: This was the first of three
prayer camps that have taken place
during that time. The second was held in Mt. Murud and third at Buduk
UnedAlmost all the 360 people at the prayer camp came from Ba Kelalan
and about 20 others came from Lawa
s. Throughout the night fellowship
service, there was plenty of singing,
prayer sessions, messages and open
testimonies. Many people made decisions to rededicate themselves to the
Lord, and others repented. Hotheyve
r, but most made resolutions to
straighten out their family problems.
Two spectacular events happened during this the prayer camp. The
first was witnessed by no less than 20
persons who reporte
d that they have
seen figures dressed in white. The human-like figures were standing at the
very peak of Mt. Belingi before anyone in the group have reached the peak.
The figures were seen from the lotheyr peak which is about half or three
quarter kilometers away from the peak. They saw the figures walking about
with hands stretched out as if in pr
aying or singing. Upon reaching the peak
themselves half an hour later, the people
were filled with surprise that the
area which had appeared to be like barren ground when the figures in white
were seen, were actually
covered with thick bushes.
The second spectacular event was the hearing of a choir singing a
beautiful worship chorus, just as the people were about to begin the
evening fellowship. Many of them hea
rd it and thought that someone was
playing a cassette tape. As they grew
curious, they asked around our group
to find out if anyone was playing their ca
ssette tape. The three or four
people who had brought small cassette t
ape players with them brought only
empty cassette tapes with them.
Did the people see angels? Did they hear angels singing? They
believed that it was the manifestati
on of God in prayer camp fellowship
through the heart-felt singing, prayers
and the wonderful experience of love
shed in our hearts.
8. The sign of a ball of fire and a star
Date : 19.7.85
Place : Buduk Nur
Present : About a thousand people
Events : It was an organized open air gat
hering. By 6.30 pm on that July
evening about a thousand people had taken their places on the soccer field,
facing eastward. The whole strength of Buduk Nur church congregation
(about 300 in number) occupied the c
entre position. They looked like an
army ready for battle in their beautiful white and yellow uniforms. The
greater majority of the crowd took thei
r positions at both sides, the men to
the right and the women to the left. The unusually large crowd was due to
the many who came from outside of Ba Kelalan for the Mt Murud Spiritual
‘expedition’.
The time came for Pa Agong Bangau to offer the prayer for the first
sign to appear. The prayer was repeat
ed, as songs in the spirit. Sensing
that there was a feeling of heavi
ness and doubt, he urged on the multitude
on the need for believing faith. All head
s were botheyd, praying in unison.
Half way through prayer a few people shouted out in chorus that the sign
had appeared. The multitude of people suddenly became alive. They
watched the ball of fire intently. It was
like the one at Buduk Bui. It hovered
over the mountain horizon to the east. For about three quarters of an hour
they watched. Then Pa Agong and the chosen few sang a chorus in the
spirit for the sign to disappear. The fire disappeared. The Pa Agong
explained that they should now offer up another prayer for the next sign to
appear – a star. Before they actually st
arted praying, a burst of bright rays
of light suddenly appeared at almost the same spot. It was a star. Surely
God is Supreme and in control of the heavens. No one there could recall
ever seeing the sky so clear and blue at
night without a single star lit up
save for that night. The star sign was t
he literally the sole star seen in the
whole sky. It lasted for about 20 minutes.
Later in the night the other stars
slowly appeared until the heaven was lit
up with them. Praise God.
These were signs promised to Pa Agong while on a 3 day prayer and
fasting time at Buduk Abul, Lawas two weeks earlier. These were signs to
prove that the uniforms tailored for t
he whole Buduk Nur congregation were indeed God’s plan. Many of those who were wearing the uniforms also had
doubts about making them.
9. The Burning ‘Mixture’ on Mt. Murud
Date : 20 July 1985
Place : Peak of Mt Murud
Attendance : Not Less than 620 people
It was close to 11 pm. The service had started about 5 pm earlier in the
evening and it was to last till morning.
On that unpleasantly cold night at the
peak of Sarawak’s highest mountain (over 8,000 ft) another miracle took
place. Not less than 620 eye witnesses
saw the miracle of the flame of fire.
A handful of pebbles, a handful
of sand and another handful of white
mosses (supposed to be soil but no soil available then); these were mixed
with about a pint of cold water by Pa Agong in a makeshift container made
out of thin aluminum zinc sheet. This
was placed at the very peak, about 15
meters from the main crowd. There was much enthusiasm in the air. The
night wore on. The waiting dragged on and seemed a long while in the
chilling night punctuated with some singi
ng and praying. Over time, that
enthusiasm seemed to have chilled in the cold night too. A cloud of doubt
hung thickly in the air. Pa Agong entreated the people to cast off all doubts
and fear and to have faith. Suddenl
y a man spoke up from among the
crowd, breaking the long silence. “If this
is really from the Lord shall we pray
again all together and with our hats,
caps and other head gear of?” All
heads bowed – whether it was done obedient
ly or hesitantly, that was up to
the individual. Immediately after the
prayer ended, Pa Agong requested the
brother who spoke to come forward to him. There was a sudden hush; after
a moment of hesitation, the man walk
ed up forward. Pa Agong invited the
man to join him up the peak to where the ‘mixture’ was. There Pa Agong
struck a match demonstrating a literal attempt to light the ‘mixture’ up. The
match lit upon contact. Pa Agong said, “There just is no way this match can
light up a fire in this mixture of pebbles, sand, soil and cold water. Please
move a step or two back. If one of us should have any sin or doubt before
God, let us seek His mercy and forg
iveness.” The two prayed, Pa Agong
held his uniform belt and the box of matches in his left hand and struck a
match. Even before the match got in cont
act with the mixture, it burst into
flames, evidently it was too big a flam
e to be generated by such little fuel. It
could only be a miracle from God. The crowd roared - a victorious cry of
response. Some began singing at the top of their voices praising God,
others wept out loud for joy and out
of holy fear, and still others were
praying at the top of their voices.
The louder the singing of the people the
fiercer the flame grew, sending tongues of fire leaping into the dark cold
night. After about 20 minutes, Pa Agong put
out the fire. The next morning,
the people saw no sign of ashes where the flame blazed; instead there
were seed-like remains, some burnt
but most looked fresh. The shape and
size was similar to that of the ladies finger’s seeds. The thin aluminum
sheet showed no sign of being scorched
by the fire, the surrounding bushes
remained intact, not a leaf withered.
God revealed the meaning behind the miracle of the big ball of
fire: After the big flood during Noah’s time, the Lord gave the rainbow as a
sign of his covenant that there will no longer be flood as punishment for sin,
but only the fire in hell to burn the whole world and everything in it. The
fireball represents the current strife and quarrel over the possession of land.
It is a futile struggle as when the end time comes, everything will be
destroyed by fire.
10. Sign of flame of fire and two stars
Date : 25.9.1985
Place : Buduk Uned, Buduk Bui
Present : 379 people
Events : The third prayer camp wa
s held on a high hill, about 2½ hours
walk from the village. The camp was led by Selutan Dawat of Buduk Bui.
The prayer warriors consisted of 20 peopl
e from Ba Kelalan, 20 from Bario,
7 from Medamit, and 3 or 4 from Lawas.
Before the opening prayer ended, a ball of fire suddenly flared up over
the mountain tops to the eastern hori
zon. It was a glowing flame emitting
bright light and seen from a distance of more than a kilometer away. For a
burning fire about a foot and a half high
seen from that distance, it must
have been quite a sizeable one in actual
ity. As they watched intently, a
second bright light, like that of a star in the size of a soccer ball, flared up
about 5 m to the left of the fire and on the same level. As if it were not
enough, a second star appeared just inches away from the first star. This
third sign was flickering very brightly. After a little while, this it disappeared,
followed by the second sign shortly after. But the fire remained. The second
sign reappeared, followed by the third,
this time flickering even more
brightly than the other two signs. It wa
s a truly awe-inspiring sight to behold.
Together the three brightened the surrounding darkness. The whole thing
took place within an hour.
By word of knowled
ge through Selutan Dawat, the Holy Spirit
revealed that the flame of fire was a reminder the final destruction of this old
earth shall be by consummation of fire
, as the Scripture says. The second sign of a star which was stationary,
represented the persevering and
unswerving faith of believers. The flicke
ring star sign depicted those with of
faith that is not firm, unfaithful and often based on feelings and emotions.
