It is unacceptable. The naysayers at first said that this is normal for early adopters, but since Ajak is one of the ones who bought their 360 later, so it must be something to do with the console design and manufacturing itself. You'd expect MS QC had picked up the hint and starts fixing things, but it does not seem so.

same goes with first xbox..so many problem..i have to wait like almost 2 years before i buy xbox after everything is cool down...till now is okay...anyway with my 360 i also "takut" coz i suppose to wait like next year when new batch is arrive..until they fix some bugs.. ....anyway good luck..

is it just me or is this the 3rd box with an intercooler on it to go all red blinky? could the intercooler be loose or something?

Those red lights are merely error indicators, they are all covered by warranty. The question is, where to warrant our warranty? Singapore? Normal folks dont have the access or luxury of travelling down south every single time their 360 is acting up.

Same here except I have Air Con and a ceiling fan. On average my box is on for about 7 hours a day (maybe even more I think). For the past few days I've been playing Prey and Oblivion non-stop for about 10 - 12 hours and the only thing that has happened is the box froze twice (once because I duped too many items at once in Oblivion )

I suspended my power brick on a shoe box just in case, but even after about 7 hours of play it doesn't feel very hot. Warm but not hot. Same with the back of the 360. Warm but not hot. But now that I read about all these overheating stories I think a 20 minute break every few hours would be good

When did I buy my 360? I ordered it from boss Djinn in Bulk v2 which was sometime around April 23rd the deadline. Then he kept it and left it to rot at his house until May 25th

too hard to pin point IMO. there's some people here with the intercooler but no problem what so ever. i thought it's because JP sets, but all the SG gamers i know that have their console died using SG sets.

i know it can be tonnes of factors... i'm just saying maybe something is loose...like in my case...my power cable was loose and it gave me all sorts of problems... once i plugged it back in properly...all the problems were gone... i read in some forums that they have problems bcos the intercooler wasnt plugged in properly.... so just thought i'd share

so i guess.. 'll have to wait for newer revisions which uses better cooling system or maybe uses smaller manufacturing process for its GPU/CPU..

Xbox 360 with the new 65nm CPU will only be out in 2007. If you can wait, then wait loh. I know I can't.

It freezes whilst playing, with vertical lines on the screen. Then when I restart my 360 again, I see the 3 red blinking lights of doom.....

The console can occasionally startup properly, but whether it can play games or not is another thing. Depends on my luck or something. This thing first appeared whilst playing EM only, but now it seems to freeze on any game...

got freezes problem when i played chromehounds, so very scare to try it again. EM 5 hours straight, no problem pulak
