I have no air cond, and my 360 runs for days at a time to download and play.. yet I haven't (knock on wood) over heated before yet. hmmm...
Same here except I have Air Con and a ceiling fan. On average my box is on for about 7 hours a day (maybe even more I think). For the past few days I've been playing Prey and Oblivion non-stop for about 10 - 12 hours and the only thing that has happened is the box froze twice (once because I duped too many items at once in Oblivion I suspended my power brick on a shoe box just in case, but even after about 7 hours of play it doesn't feel very hot. Warm but not hot. Same with the back of the 360. Warm but not hot. But now that I read about all these overheating stories I think a 20 minute break every few hours would be good
When did I buy my 360? I ordered it from boss Djinn in Bulk v2 which was sometime around April 23rd the deadline. Then he kept it and left it to rot at his house until May 25th
