i've already commented on their FB. seriously announcing the delay a day/night before release date is really irresponsible. if they announce it one week earlier i wouldn't mind so much. Imagine the plans that people have made for this, e.g: taking leave, hang out with friend, invite friends and family to play over the weekend.. haih.

It seems like the RM 100 is not consolation money from the delay, but rather Sony dropping the price to match retailer price.

Nope, the RM100 is just the difference between previous order vs newer order.
When they started taking order, every single shop was selling it at RM1899 and 2029, but because of currency change, they later on lowered it. In Sony center case, they actually take full preorder amount when you are placing an order.
The comment you are pointing out is just Sony will refund the RM100 in cash (there's no way people will be happy to pay extra just to receive store credit as a return, they will surely give cash or chargeback Rm100).

As for the RM100 compensation, that was for the delay, and it is a store credit (PSN).
Playstation Asia didn't publicly announce it and other shops didn't do it too, apparently they are under some sort of NDA and weren't allowed to publicly announce until Sony Malaysia says so.

I see. So the preorder price was later reduced to matched retailer price? I bought it quite late, around 1949 for PSVR + camera bundle. So is this price already reduced to match the retailer?

RM1949 is the reduced price yep. If you are in the first batch, you will get the RM100 credit. Not sure about following batch.
It happened right after the confirmation of PS4 Pro actually, when they announce the price was RM1799, after a day or two, they drop the PSVR price to RM1799. Since both also $400.

Look at the supplies of other SEA countries. Saw a post in HK and Philippine Playstation FB group that some were able to walk in and buy over the counter.

How can Malaysia let this happen?!?!?! Someone should be accountable for this mess! The only thing they're fast at is getting people's money!

What I'm gonna do when I get mine is take a shot of my fingering a bird (the f**k you sign) infront of the box and tag these assholes in that photo. Every day this delay goes only adds insult to those who had preordered their PSVR, so I'm returning that insult back to their collective faces.

Tired of seeing that "Unforseen Circumstances" crap! that's the oldest excuse in the book! They can't even explain how severe what really happened in the first place. Of all ASEAN countries, Malaysia is the only one left out. HA! Well played Sony Malaysia!

I saw a post about a Pilot to planning to sue Sony Malaysia cause of their negligence. I hope it pushes through so heads will roll in their office!

Mass embarrassing and shaming them works. Legal repercussion like suing in this country goes nowhere. With social media proliferating so much now, it's the little things like hashtags and shaming photos tagging these morons would be visible enough to make an impact.

The fact that Playstation Asia facebook page keeps repeating the same damn statement on every post shows how much they don't care. Oh look there's another angry post, let me copy and paste this line.

Hence the mass shaming them with hashtags and tagging them. They can't mass block you all. Keep the momentum up and they will relent. They may not relent in the sense that they'll still stick with the crappy 21st release date but if the same shit happens next month for PS4 Pro, watch the impending backlash. Keep reminding them that we the consumer are the ones who dictates their bottom line and not us having to grovel at their feet for whatever offerings they have to give. They act as if that we have to be grateful that they're bringing the PSVR in at all, that a delay should affect that state of gratefulness. F**k that. Stand up and let your voice be heard. They say "This is for the players". So is this shitty treatment "for the players" as well? Where do you draw the line, how far can you let them push you around until you need to stand firm and tell them treating you like shit?
