anyone knows which courier they normally use for deliveries? 21st is a Friday, if they sent it out then, some couriers doesn't(or at times lazy) deliver on Saturdays.

For officials like Sony, usually UPS/Fedex i presume? Leaning towards UPS more, and that's a bad news. UPS is horrible in Malaysia, well at least in Penang. Worst experience ever for me previously purchasing xiaomi phones. Same goes to Fedex although I get to go there and claim it myself.

PosLaju is still unbeatable even though they will destroy your item.

Playstation HK livestreaming their launch event.
This is the biggest slap in the balls ever by both Sony Malaysia and Malaysia customs.

One didn't even bother getting it early just in case shits like this happens.
Another one weren't happy with the amount received.

Toss in RM100 and there's nothing we can do.
One freaking week. I mean 1 or 2 days I would've been absolutely fine, but one week?

The fact that Playstation Asia singled out Malaysia as the only country to experience the delay is already a slap while other neighboring countries are already preparing with the launch.

Their "Unforseen Circumstances" is really unacceptable to be honest. It's the oldest trick in the book.

Exactly! Sadly Thumper and 100ft Robot Golf are the only 2 titles available for normal screen. Will be getting Thumper tomorrow.

Sadly this is how Malaysia works. With the amount of preorders from Malaysia, we really can't do anything. That is also probably why they just throw RM100 around like it's nothing for every customer. If it was in the EU or US, gosh, see people burn down Sony.

And yep, it is confirmed, previously some other SEA release status was unknown too, but tomorrow will be the day that PSVR launch worldwide, literally every single country including indonesia. EXCEPT for Malaysia. Just really unhappy that Playstation Asia can get away from stuff like these everytime it happens.

Maybe we can start a #hashtag going, unbox our PSVR and add #PSVRLaunchOneWeekLate. Round up the shame on them and tag Playstation Asia and Sony Malaysia on Facebook and Twitter.

I'm down! I'm gonna troll that post of theirs once I get back from work. Gonna tag Shuhei Yoshida and Andrew House just so they know how shady their staff are in this side of the globe.

Btw in Indonesia its a limited launch. Sony Center and GS Shop got it on Oct 13th, while other retailers are delayed for a week just like Malaysia.

Both of them only accept in-store pre-order and in-store pick-up.

If I know other retailers will be delayed, I'll just ask my friend in Jakarta to buy it for me and ship it to me. But Noooo, they assured that retail partners will get Psvr on Oct 13th.

The retail partners delay was announced on oct 12th!

It's somewhat interesting knowing that I need to receive a phone call to book a collection timeslot for my preorder in Sony store SG. Some people received their call yesterday and I've yet to receive any calls.

Seems to me supply is severely limited.

If there's one thing I know about Malaysia and businesses in Malaysia, it is : Malaysia has no shame.
Basically the idea of the lack of competitor, you want our stuff, you got to deal with it.
Look at other countries, they are constantly trying to satisfy their customers because they can just pick the other service if they suck, while in here, they screw their customer and say "Well, sorry lol".

Look at Target in US, last minute preorder got cancelled (they preordered on like Sept 30), Target compensate them $100, RM400.

Every official launch partner has demo units. These are not retail unit. GH has one at each of their branches as well.

Kinda makes you ask the question: if demo units goes through without question, why the retail units got held? Is there a governing body that is holding the retail PSVR units hostage, potentially asking more money, if they want it released on schedule, else they'll just go through the same paperwork turn to wait to get it released? Or worse, they're re-evaluating the pricetag because whichever government body that's holding the stock hostage, wants more moolah lining their pockets than just 6% GST. SIRIM/Customs? *shrugs*

Otherwise, it's a case of Malaysia got singled out exclusively when every other country in the world get theirs. Sort of treated like you're being bullied out of your share of that stock, isn't it?

Both scenarios is reflective on how things work in this country. Malaysia: circling the toilet drain.

Sony Asia act as if everything is fine! ugh....
i hate when company simply wipe their mistakes under the rug like this.

Even a simple asterisk in their PSVR marketing material should be enough. Something like this:

"No on Sale*"
*Very limited supply. Will be on sale on 21 Oct in the following countries: Malaysia, Indonesia

is CD Projekt RED is the only company that like to openly admit their mistakes, be done with it, and try their best to make things better?
