Hi guys
Just need some clarification, is there such a "cooling period" when you have received 1 credit card from 1 provider, and you have to wait at least 3 months before applying for the next 1 ?
My application for CIMB cash rebate CC just being rejected possibly due to that.
Let see how my HLB Wise and Public bank Platinum goes, really putting high hopes for the PB platinum to get my hands on Samsung V
I don't think there are a cooling off period which can only apply 1 credit card within 3 month.
There is a possibility that your newly approved card took all your credit limit already
Bank officer might reject your CIMB cc because sum of all yours credit card limits are too high already.
for eg.. if lets said your salary is 5k. Then previously total credit card limit is 50k, with newly approved card, your credit limit will goes beyond total 60k, which is 12x of your salary already.
But I think is depends on bank also, some bank willing to give, some bank dont want to take risk.

<- This happen to me last month, Public bank reject, but maybank approved, but with less credit card limit.
Another possibility which mention by other forumer before is Bank felt that you wouldn't using their card even they approved for you as you have too many cards already.
So, reduce some of your credit card limit or terminate those unused credit card will increase your approval chance of new cc.
