After a long hiatus since the Direct Access card era, I'm now looking back again at CIMB credit cards.
I will read more from its website and pick the one that has no annual fees. |

Called to cancel my useless SCB Plat as it has annual fees, cancel it before the anniversary kicks in July.
I recently found out a number of shops have discounts for CIMB cardholders. Since there's a vacant slot in my wallet after the departure of SCB Plat, I plan to apply for CIMB Cash Rebate Platinum MasterCard as it has no annual fees. Will fill up my basic details online and just request them to contact me instead, if it's approved I will collect it personally from KL Sentral branch. I read the last few pages about Zing TnG, I will make sure they don't send me that. Thanks for the heads-up, guys! This post has been edited by fruitie: Apr 3 2015, 12:21 AM |

QUOTE(vin_ann @ Apr 7 2015, 11:28 AM) Can register interest via their web? i applied online & that's mandatory to select TnG reload value, in order to proceed. that's how i being charged RM10 for Zing card registration fee. OK, I will check it out. Else, I just walk-in to the branch since there is one in KL Sentral and I'm working here.Im not sure this way will be prefered by you or not... but i experienced lightening responds from agent. i went to imoney web, playing the credit card page to see which card best suite me. filling n select few questions, it will come to enter your particular details page in order to know the recommended cards for you. so i fills up, and submit. its shows the result of cards, and within few minutes, someone called. its from imoney, she explaining this n that, and if you interested, she will send me the form... n follows up on application etc etc.... Nope, that's not my preferred way, I really don't feel good giving out my details to a third party website... |

Oops. It's Ringgitplus that has a lot of free gifts. However apply at your risk because you are exposing your information to third party.

deadgriever, how did you apply via CIMB Click? I'm in their CC page now and it only has "Let us call you" function but not online application?
Care to share how did you do that? Thanks. |

QUOTE(anarchy2cruo @ Apr 9 2015, 01:14 PM) No, tak sempat lagi and the fellow called already.I think I will apply through him, at least I only need to follow up with one person. QUOTE(pearl.silver @ Apr 9 2015, 01:23 PM) Actually if you ask me, M2Cards is a better choice for new cardholders. |

QUOTE(pearl.silver @ Apr 9 2015, 04:35 PM) i let them call me,and today cimb person called n help fill in the form for me So nice of them but I still prefer to fill up the form myself if they are not doing it in front of me.compared with maybank, they just email the form n let me fill it up myself.. I just filled up and sent back to them. Crossed whatever not needed and applicable to me. I'm a bit paranoid when it comes to exposing my personal information to third party. Actually commonly, it should be filled up by the applicant himself/herself. This post has been edited by fruitie: Apr 9 2015, 04:47 PM |

QUOTE(laymank @ Apr 14 2015, 10:08 AM) Nowadays, reward points is close to worthless. You'll never know when the depreciation game starts again. Yes and I really can't justify when to use this card.So yeah, though it is free but I don't want to keep card that has no added-value to me. Just called CIMB to check my application, the CS said I didn't fill up whatever FATCA form.
Then, checked back the email correspondence and noticed the application form itself is called FATCA application form. |

QUOTE(David83 @ Apr 22 2015, 06:20 PM) Even though I uploaded the documents in CIMBClicks, I received reminding SMS and email multiple times to ask to upload the supporting documents. The officer attended to me also confirmed I have uploaded sufficient documents and he has helped me to send in all required documents yet the CS said missing FATCA form. IIRC, 5 emails and 2 SMSes! This reminds me that I will need to follow up again tomorrow. |
