To answer those Airlines entitled or not it's decided by the MCC code of the transaction (at the merchant, not CIMB). You can call up and ask CIMB what is the MCC code marked for your transaction.
Then you compare the MCC against the T&C of CashBack Platinum Card.

If it doesn't match, then don't blame CIMB but the Airlines.
If it matches and you don't get the rebate, go after CIMB.

I receive a call-back after 7 days upon my cancellation request.
Offer given : RM50 for GST offset, 1-time BT 0% 6-month application (60% of CL).

So will continue to hold the "newer" CIMB CC for another year.

No tactics.... just ignore the offer from CS dept (swipe xx for RM50 offset). After a week later the Retention Dept will call you.

CASH7 <last 6 digit of IC>
