Yeah it's good. 1.2V is still low.

Try experiment with Trfc values... if 127.5ns cannot use, try lower one. Use the BIOS built-in memtest to test.

Biostar TF550 really cant lock PCI and PCI-E la..

Memory =1.9v
chip =1.5v
Hyper Transport Voltage = 1.2v

cpu frequency = 250
NPT Fid control = x10 /auto = also can not..
K8<->SB HT speed = 4x =coz 250/1000 = 4 ..so i set 4x
but can not boot up leh...
but when i put automatic oc ..will oc help me oc below the result

so i`ve heard...sum shops in lowyat din even sell biostar6100 becuz they said customer alwys complain bout it..
stupid me i forgot to switch off the power thts y 3dimm burn..n shit i no digi cam cant post it here pcmmoddingmy..maybe i`ll try claim to viewnet..
btw now my manila 3000+ oc from 1.6ghz to 2.1ghz alrdy with stock vcore n cap ayam psu..at 1st i cant get pass through 227ht but then i jus drop ram to 2T n HT link to 3x also set my ddr667 to ddr533..all goes well..

Who says cannot? Come on la.... I have used TF550 before. I say can lock, can lah. Probably you did not disable spread spectrum thingy.

p/s: the automatic overclock option is lame... don't use it.

Can la. I post up this issue before. Always get stuck at 273Mhz. Any timing also dont help.
Then i flash bios703 as recommended by Soulfly. Now running at 345htt day and night. And comfirm it lock now as reported by my Clockgen.
Go download bios 703 or higher. From some taiwan biostar web.



Biostar 6100 Am2 is crappy because it dont have adjustable memory setting for Cas Latency. That make really give us headache as it gonna fix CL at 3.0 even at DDR667.

i just change my Mobo with DFI ultraII M2 this afternoon~

but after i complete build my PC and i start for 1st time then i check my chipset tem it as high as 59c sometime can hit 62c with just stock speed...

You did not OC to 2.5GHz with just 1.2Vcore; I had tried to bump up my Vcore to 1.4V+ and sometimes CPU-Z would just display as 1.2V; I guess this have to do with the sensor.

And please look at all the old posts in this thread; it contains lots of information of OC, you could not just keep on asking how to do this, how to do that, etc. I mean, if you ask so much and does not bother to try yourself; why not just send us your rig then let us OC for you completely?

If you really had read through this thread, you should notice soulfly already taught a simple way to OC before; use a lower DDR2 divider (auto timing) and start increase your CPU clock little by little. When you cannot boot or the system unstable, bump up the Vcore by 1 notch. Each time you manage to boot into Windows, run super Pi 8M and if successful you could consider moving on to increase your CPU clock (but its better if you prime it for 8 hours first for stability).

Due to ram price increase I grabbed a pair of Mushkin Enhanced EM6400 DDR2-800 rams with timing 5-5-5-12 ( 512MB x2 ).

I am currently running on DDR2-533, so I stick the ram in and set to DDR2-800 in the bios with timings 5-5-5-12.

Then my rig ran fine at stock (AM2 3500+ @ 2.2GHz ).
Previously I dint play wif RAM before, and I got to 2.7GHz stable on DDR-533.

Now wif the new ram I get crash during everest cpu test at 2.7GHz. My setting in bios is:
FSB: 246
Vcore: 1.425
Vdimm: 1.90V (minimum for this ram)
HTT 4X
DDR2-667
4-5-4-12-2T

My spec: Am2 3500+ / Asus M2N-E / Mushkin em6400 1GB. Any comments?
