Will have 2 AM2 rigs soon. Hey soulfly, if u don't mind I ask. I been browsing all the 31 pages just now. You said that tforce 6100-am2 bios sux compared to TF550, would you enlighten me about the difference? |

QUOTE(Cyrus2k @ Aug 24 2006, 03:19 PM) soulfly : You got a Biostar TF550 mobo before right? cyrus2k, have you solve ur problem?A question, how do I change the clock multiplier in the BIOS? I found one option and changed it to x8, but when I look into cpuz it was still in x10... Even with the latest bios, I still stuck at 9x with my 3000+ on 6100-am2. Or AM2 with locked multiplier? I just compared the Bios oc menu with the manual come with the board.
There isn't the option of "Hammer CPU Multiplier" as stated in BIOS..... |

the latest bios without cas latency....
tried the latest bios from biostar website, not found. using CR51A505RH9(recommend by polygon) now which is OC version and not found too but then got bug, lol. temp decrease from 45c to 25c. and soulfly, u said 6100-am2 bios isn't as good as tf550 because of ![]() ![]() memory timing/drive strength setting? If so, 6100-am2 does have it the first released bios. This post has been edited by allenultra: Aug 27 2006, 12:20 PM |

just a comparison though.
its the same as my 6100-am2 now....with the old bios.....new bios doesn't show up the memory timing setting. |

ya....that what polygon tested...
I just gather info from his post. Still, I stuck at cpu 9x multiplier. No "Hammer CPU Multiplier". And my temp decrease from 45c to 25c. |

I'm using T-Utility Hardware Monitor that comes with the biostar CD.
It show 25c. Shouldn't be software error after I flashed the bios. (I assume). |

Well, may I know how significance the HTT and NB/SB voltage in determining the am2 oc?
I not sure should I increase it or just let it like that....... face some problem at 2.4ghz with 1.35v on 3000+ |

AMD64 Orleans 3000+ | Biostar T-force 6100-am2 | 2x 512mb Apacer DDR2-667 | Stock heatsink | Enlight 420w
Struggling in some oc though.... Not able to break 2500mhz even I raise vcore and running at ddr2-533 divider. Crash at startup....I guess onboard GPU is culprit or chipset voltage not sufficient. Will try oc later tonight. NB cooling is pretty ok as I hang an icute fan below the CPU heatsink blowing at NB. This post has been edited by allenultra: Sep 11 2006, 05:11 PM Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(camedemac @ Sep 11 2006, 07:06 PM) btw, I'm not new to OC Yes, I did disabled that. Disabled all the spread spectrum. RAM timing set to AUTO. Not sure if the onboard GPU holding me back, maybe I should raise chipset voltage. Soulfly, care to attach the graph u made? I can't find it. The graph where u stated clockspeed vs vcore |
