ah... it's nothing big actually. it's just that 6100-AM2 bios memory timing options is limited if you compare with the TF500-series.

TF500-series is quite 'DFI-alike'.

So I guess doesn't have big matter if I'm using value ram and really into ram oc biggrin.gif

soulfly : You got a Biostar TF550 mobo before right?
A question, how do I change the clock multiplier in the BIOS? I found one option and changed it to x8, but when I look into cpuz it was still in x10...
*
cyrus2k, have you solve ur problem?
Even with the latest bios, I still stuck at 9x with my 3000+ on 6100-am2.

Or AM2 with locked multiplier?

I just compared the Bios oc menu with the manual come with the board.

There isn't the option of "Hammer CPU Multiplier" as stated in BIOS.....

and soulfly, u said 6100-am2 bios isn't as good as tf550 because of

memory timing/drive strength setting?
If so, 6100-am2 does have it the first released bios.

its the same as my 6100-am2 now....with the old bios.....new bios doesn't show up the memory timing setting.

ya....that what polygon tested...
I just gather info from his post.

Still, I stuck at cpu 9x multiplier. No "Hammer CPU Multiplier".
And my temp decrease from 45c to 25c.

I'm using T-Utility Hardware Monitor that comes with the biostar CD.

It show 25c. Shouldn't be software error after I flashed the bios. (I assume).

Well, may I know how significance the HTT and NB/SB voltage in determining the am2 oc?

I not sure should I increase it or just let it like that.......
face some problem at 2.4ghz with 1.35v on 3000+

AMD64 Orleans 3000+ | Biostar T-force 6100-am2 | 2x 512mb Apacer DDR2-667 | Stock heatsink | Enlight 420w

Struggling in some oc though....
Not able to break 2500mhz even I raise vcore and running at ddr2-533 divider.

Crash at startup....I guess onboard GPU is culprit or chipset voltage not sufficient. Will try oc later tonight.
NB cooling is pretty ok as I hang an icute fan below the CPU heatsink blowing at NB. laugh.gif

have disable AMD Cool N Quiet?? unsure.gif

btw, I'm not new to OC tongue.gif

Yes, I did disabled that. Disabled all the spread spectrum.

RAM timing set to AUTO.
Not sure if the onboard GPU holding me back, maybe I should raise chipset voltage.

Soulfly, care to attach the graph u made? I can't find it.
The graph where u stated clockspeed vs vcore biggrin.gif

Is gigabyte mobo reliable?

Coz i'm currently using a MSI MS-7253 (K9VGM-V)
Chipset = VIA K8M890+VT8237A (i'm just copy from the box)

So do i really need to change this MSI mobo to better mobo? I need a mobo that is affordable and durable only..

Pls give ur comments, TQ very much!
