Get SONY Xperia Z2 please. Go back a few more pages in this thread from here, and you will see all kinds of complaints from people. For me, I don't face any major problem. Only for once, after the latest update. My phone restarted itself the other day, suddenly. I am just waiting for another firmware update to fix everything, right now. Or maybe go get yourself OnePlus One, the new and cheap flagship smartphone killer. Check it out, here.

There's no major issue with z1.

Hardware wise, Most people only complain about the viewing angle of the screen. If you don't mind that then it is a really solid phone to have.

Software... Many complain about the recent kitkat update got problem. But I too didn't face any problem till now.

If you can wait and have the budget, I suggest you to get z2.

thanks for the input guys. I don't have the budget to get a Z2 tbh. sad.gif

what a shame, looks like I have to cross out the Z1 out of my list. This actually leaves me without any option hahahh, except probably the Z1 Compact within my RM1.5k budget.

I was like... PHEW, I'm one of those lucky ones who did not encounter any problem after the update and factory reset. But then, I was wrong. My phone just restarted itself a few minutes ago. I was searching for something on Google through Google Chrome. It suddenly just hangs for 1 or 2 seconds and BOOM. It restarted. For the first time though.

wow u had the same scenario as me. I didnt encounter any major problem after update to the latest kitkat, but then yesterday while i was googling something, suddenly the phone restarted itself. I hope it wont happen again lol

Well, that's unfortunate. We will just have to wait for the next update or something to get everything fixed then.

Hope you don't get my message wrongly. Z1 all a solid phone to get more of you are in a budget. I am still enjoying it everyday and have no plans to change phone anytime soon.

Z1 compact only smaller screen and battery.

Agreed. All those defects mentioned here merely case to case basis.

I like almost everything about my z1. thumbup.gif thumbup.gif
Although not zero defect, but is hard to find a phone with zero defect nowadays, even s5 have camera problem also~ rclxub.gif

Its really depends on you~ Wait for another week.might be cheaper wink.gif

yes i'm rooted, upgraded to .757, locked bootloader, try to install on odex & deodex rom, all cannot.
and guess what? after several attempt on installing & running the portrait retouch & 4k video, both of my camera become malfunctioned! it always show error "No camera detect" whenever I start the camera, even in superior auto or manual mode. Try flashing back to prev stock rom (.257, .136, .290) + multiple factory resets, now my main camera is back to normal, but front camera still not functioning. so DO NOT TRY the portrait retouch & super video camera, the only working camera apps is background defocus, the rest dont install them!

Hold power button? Drag to first option in setting notification drawer.

After a long time of absence from the forum ... am back with the SmartBand SWR10

Attached Image

Early feedback (been using it for about a week now):

- initial firmware sucks .... the device kept disconnecting from the phone
- new firmware launched on 25 April fixed most problems and also added an auto night mode

So what happens is that you need to download a software called "LifeLog" which allow you to track all sort of stuff:

Attached Image

Things like steps, where you been before, the weather, how much time you spent on entertainment, music, photos, etc.

As a step counter, it works as advertised. But it does more than just that... you are basically recording your entire life in this software which probably brings up the next point... how safe is your data? I'm not too sure since the software sync all these info back to Sony Network (you can actually restore all your data after a hard reset).

COOL!! Didn't you get those T&C agreement? I think you can somehow find data security/privacy info in there. Try look it up. By the way, that's just what I think.
